New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
And since you have watched Breaking Bad, watch Better Call Saul.

Love Better Call Saul. Just didn't put it on the list. Was a fantastic show. I'll try P.O.I. Thanks.

Both of those are good. Have you watched Rome? If not, you should. Band of Brothers, The Pacific, and John Adams are all great historical miniseries as well.

I'll try Rome. I love BoB. Watch it every year around Xmas time. Same w/ Pacific.

So kind and my political ideologies are quite close so I've loved all his stuff his mistake was going alone on such a complex idea. He needed a writing staff. I think setting it in real event gave him an opportunity to educate the watcher in how the 24hr news media change stories

I liked the real setting, but I thought it was incredibly cheap to set the show a year in the past. It's really easy to always be right when you're looking at everything in hindsight, and that cheapened the show for me. I still enjoyed it, but it's clearly Sorkin's soapbox.

He should have just done an alternate universe like he did with the West Wing. It would have allowed him to talk about stuff inspired by real world events, but would have eliminated this criticism.

They did that kind of thing a little bit later in the series, but not nearly enough.

WHAS on Netflix was great and pretty easy to knock out with eight 30ish minute episodes.

The amount of original programming Netflix is producing is getting pretty insane.

House of Cards
OITNB
Daredevil
Sense8
Bloodline
Plus other stuff like Marco Polo, Between, Kimmy Schmidt, WHAS, Bojack etc.

And it feels like every month they are adding another new show.

And they have about a 50% rate a watchability which is 10x that of other networks

True. The only "drama" I really couldn't get into at all was Hemlock Grove and that is essentially being cancelled. I'm not sure if Between counts since it was co-produced with a Canadian TV Network.

But Sense8, Bloodline, House of Cards, OITNB, Daredevil, Marco Polo were all entertaining one way or another.

And I find it hard to believe that the next two dramas on tap (Jessica Jones and Narcos) won't be entertaining to me as well.

Peaky Blinders is another good Netflix one, main character is Cillian Murphy. Tom Hardy in Season 2. Great soundtrack too.

I don't think Netflix produced that one, just acquired exclusive U.S. distribution rights. Still a great show though.

Think they did that with a few British shows(The Fall, Peaky, Happy Valley etc)

But overall it is crazy to think Netflix had just one original series three years ago in Lilyhammer.

Yeah Netflix is killing it.

Kimmy Schmidt is great. Just finished it last week. If you liked 30 Rock, you'll love it. Same producers and a lot of the same writers. You can feel that same style throughout.

It's the smart way for them to go, because while these shows cost money to make they don't have to worry about someone jacking up the licensing fees down the road.

Making sure they have a continuous stream of quality content is the only way they can keep their customers happy, and as long as they decide to keep the monthly cost at $8 they have to keep their licensing costs low.

Kimmy Schmidt wasn't my favorite the first few episodes, but my wife really liked it and people told me it gets better. I'm glad I saw it through, not one for spoilers but the second half of the episodes were better than the first half.

I had the same experience. Watched 3.5 episodes, and went away from it for a couple months.

Turns out halfway through episode 4 is when it really gets funny.

If you aren't watching Rick and Morty then I don't know what you are doing with your life. Season 2 has been amazing thus far, and nobody thought season 1 could be topped.

I'll give my endorsement for mr robot as well, but Rick and Morty is right there with game of thrones as my favorite show on television.

I'll try to talk the wife into Rick and Morty. Just finished the Wet Hot American Summer prequel, I suggèst watching the movie first but it was irreverently entertaining. Some people I know watched the show without seeing the movie and seemed utterly confused.
