And since you have watched Breaking Bad, watch Better Call Saul.
Both of those are good. Have you watched Rome? If not, you should. Band of Brothers, The Pacific, and John Adams are all great historical miniseries as well.
So kind and my political ideologies are quite close so I've loved all his stuff his mistake was going alone on such a complex idea. He needed a writing staff. I think setting it in real event gave him an opportunity to educate the watcher in how the 24hr news media change stories
I liked the real setting, but I thought it was incredibly cheap to set the show a year in the past. It's really easy to always be right when you're looking at everything in hindsight, and that cheapened the show for me. I still enjoyed it, but it's clearly Sorkin's soapbox.
WHAS on Netflix was great and pretty easy to knock out with eight 30ish minute episodes.
The amount of original programming Netflix is producing is getting pretty insane.
House of Cards
OITNB
Daredevil
Sense8
Bloodline
Plus other stuff like Marco Polo, Between, Kimmy Schmidt, WHAS, Bojack etc.
And it feels like every month they are adding another new show.
And they have about a 50% rate a watchability which is 10x that of other networks
Peaky Blinders is another good Netflix one, main character is Cillian Murphy. Tom Hardy in Season 2. Great soundtrack too.
I don't think Netflix produced that one, just acquired exclusive U.S. distribution rights. Still a great show though.
Think they did that with a few British shows(The Fall, Peaky, Happy Valley etc)
But overall it is crazy to think Netflix had just one original series three years ago in Lilyhammer.
Yeah Netflix is killing it.
Kimmy Schmidt is great. Just finished it last week. If you liked 30 Rock, you'll love it. Same producers and a lot of the same writers. You can feel that same style throughout.
I had the same experience. Watched 3.5 episodes, and went away from it for a couple months.Kimmy Schmidt wasn't my favorite the first few episodes, but my wife really liked it and people told me it gets better. I'm glad I saw it through, not one for spoilers but the second half of the episodes were better than the first half.
