People who want to discuss the show without reading about book spoilers should be able to do so, posters who want to discuss the books with spoilers should be able to do so as well. Don't really see the harm in it.

Probably wasn't getting activity recently due to no new episode this week.

I don't think they did a particularly good job explaining who exactly the mountain guy is and recasting a guy for the 3rd time is a bit much. Perhaps they just assume way too much of the viewer that he's instantly going to remember who this guy is/was.

Welp that sucked. And holy fuck was that brutal. I knew something was up - reminded me when the bad guy talks to long, allowing the good guy to find a way to escape - only in this case it was a 6'8 mountain who bashed his teeth out, pressed in his eyes and made his head explode.

was it that brutal in the books? What a simp - GOD DAMMIT why couldn't he have just finished him off. Really hope Tyrion somehow, someway makes it through. Something's gotta happen.

Tyrion will live. Jaime will save him.

It was almost identical to the books. The only real difference was that, in the books, the Mountain is actually speared to the ground, so he doesn't roll on top of the Viper. He also just punches him twice rather than crushing his head. The first knocks his teeth out, and the second crushes his skull.

They also changed the Mountain's lines a bit at the end (in a bad way). In the books he says: "ELIA OF DORNE. FIRST I KILLED HER SCREAMING WHELP. THEN I RAPED HER. THEN I PUNCHED HER FUCKING FACE IN. LIKE THIS!" And then he punches his fucking face in. I wish they would have kept the lines the same. They do this a lot, where they make minor changes to lines that were fucking perfect to begin with. It's really frustrating.

Damn Oberyn talked too much. He had him.

Fuck this shit!

You have to understand, though, that it wasn't just about killing him. He wanted the Mountain to admit to the murder of his sister and also admit that Tywin was the one who gave the order. There are also some major implications to the Mountain admitting in front of a live studio audience that he killed Elia and her children.
