Official: Iverson to Denver

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
2 egos, one team, this can't be good!

Denver were one piece short of a championship run. They certainly have a piece now, whether it fits is the bigger question. You never never know if you never have a go.

As for the 76's, not a bad deal. They have some solid scorers on the wing, but no organiser. Joe Smith is a decent big for the depth chart, and two first rounders to boot gives them a possible bright future. Their fans at least know now that they are not gonna keep sitting in that 35-45 win bracket. They have potential to go either way in the coming seasons, but that beats middle of the field which was where they would be sitting on their hands.

I just thought of this...will we see George Karl vs. Iverson? I can't imagine Karl bending to Iverson's ego or vice versa.

The Real World: Denver....

Well played Jameson.

Miller has 3 years left on his contract, I dont think its disclosed for the last 2 years, but he gets 8.3 mill now. Smith comes off the books this summer. They still won't have any cap room though unless they move Webber. Problem is, Webber is owed 20.7 mill this year and 22.3 million next year. Holy crap, Webber makes like $250,000 per game (assuming he plays like 80). Lets say he had to pay a $50,000 fine, that would be twenty percent of what he makes in a day of work. I don't think the Sixers can move Webber till next year when hes set to come off the books, but they'll probably want the cap space that year anyhow, its the year the 04-05 draft class becomes free agents (Dwight Howard, Emeka Okeafor, etc)

They will have major chemistry problems.

I'm not saying we should do this, but a discussion about bringing in Delonte West was brought up. Any way we could end up with West, a 1st rounder, without giving up the Kitchen Sink?

Are the Nuggets going to even attempt to play defense?

Denver is going to be a straight up you arse scoring team. They now that the top two scorers in the league. Camby is playing great. JR Smith is having his moments. Not bad for Denver...if it works. Obviously, one of the scorers scoring is going to have to decrease. I think Iverson will be okay with the facilitator role and Melo the scorer.

Philly is a horrible team right now...which is great for them because now they are definitely going to getting the max ping-pong balls in the Oden Sweepstakes. They also have a nice expiring contract in Joe Smith, a great playmaker in Miller and two more picks in a very deep draft.

Good for both teams.

This looks like a deal that works for both teams. 76ers pretty much get what they were looking for and still add a good PG in Miller.

Iverson's value wasn't really as high as it once was. He's not that young anymore and has a lot of wear and tear on him.

This could make Denver a legitimate contender out west. You never know with AI though. It will be interesting to watch how he and Carmelo play together and how he and Karl get along. I would think AI would behave and try to work with teammates since this is his last opportunity as a player.

Interesting thoughts by Maximus and others that this deal brings a great chance for the Cavs to get back in the draft with help from Philly.

This deal basically makes Andre Iguodala the "GO TO GUY" meaning I'm about to start dominating in Fantasy..

:chuckles:

Cause as of now...in spite of all our trades...

We seem to have made each other worse. God we fvcking suck in fantasy.

Well Villanueva was dropping 19-12 regularly..and went down..

And despite Josh Smith's overpowering offensive arsenal he still has way too many 3-12 6 pt performances..

WIllie Green and Korver get more shots before Iggy.
