Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Exactly, that's what I'm saying, there's a really good chance he won't be traded because he can opt out and will be a free agent. "Remain with the Cavs" as in through the rest of the season, not next year.

The Cavs need to be patient and look for the home run rather than bring in a scrub because they're desperate to see a return on Sessions.

What if there is no home run trade? Remember, it takes two to tango. It's not often that trades are so one-sided that one side can claim a home run.

I swear, every time I see a new post has been added to this thread, I get a little giddy when I click to view it, hoping there is a tweet, or a legit rumor....but I'm always left with sadness.

Need to hear SOMETHING of substance! I'm begging! Nothing against any of the posters here, I just really want something in return for Sessions.

lol. I haven't thought about Sarunas Jasikevicius in years. Also, the Safaris were so much fun. Good times.

Hopefully were in for a good Safari Season. Good Season to you!!

I am right, except Marvin is much more incapable on offense.

You are so wrong it's laughable

Larry Hughes has never been able to shoot the ball as well as Marvin does, in fact Hughes only had 1 season were is fg% was over 45%

45% is Marvin’s average for his career, a full 5% points higher than Hughes career fg%. This season Marvin's fg% is down but that can be taken as an anomoly due to the lockout.

This isn't even getting into the difference in each players health/durability which at least needs an honorable mention when you compare anyone to Hughes.. Hughes has never played more than 70 games in a season in his whole career, Marvin's already hit 80 games 3 times.

Marvin is a guy that will play with-in a team concept were Hughes was shot chucker. Hughes played his best on bad teams and stopped caring when he didn't get his shots or stats.

Hughes never really seemed to have any heart/desire to win, most of the time Hughes seemed like he was just going through the motions. This seemed even more noticeable while on the Cavs, that trend has seemed to continue after he was moved, which is not surprising.

Cap space > Marvin Williams.

Marvin Williams and a 1st rd pick > Cap Space.

Though, I don't believe we'd be able to manage that out of Atlanta, that's the only way I'd accept a Marvin Williams trade.

Hahaha awesome post. I would thank if I wasn't on mobile. I remember I joined RCF during the first Amare Safari. And that thread was awesome. I remember the week of that deadline I would be up till like 3 every night refreshing that thing lol. I'd run back from class just to see if anything new came up.

Ah good times. Good tomes.

Because Sessions is a PG (the Cavs already have a pretty good one in case you missed it) and they currently have Omri Casspi and Alonzo Gee playing SF. I like Gee quite a bit, but he is better suited as a SG than an SF. Casspi is terrible. The SF spot needs addressed in some fashion. You simply can't have rookies and second or third year players at every position. That's generally how your team winds up like the Wizards or the Kings. I don't think anyone is trying to say that he's an All-Star or is suddenly going to become one in Cleveland. All I'm saying is that he's certainly a guy that could average 14 pts and 6 reb for the Cavs and be a solid defender.

The Cavs may need to replace 37 ppg if Tawn, Sessions, and Andy are all traded. Williams has played on teams his entire career where he was the 4th option behind Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, and Horford (sometimes Jamal Crawford as well) and never played with a good PG. Maybe the Cavs acquire him, let him start for a while, and then he becomes the 6th man a year or two from now. His contract is insignificant with the amount of money the Cavs have coming off the books, and it's not even that much to begin with. I just don't see that many great options for Sessions at this point. Basically the Cavs are either going to do a deal such as this, or they are going to wait around and see what LA does and run the risk of getting nothing in return.

Let TT, Boobie, and Gee pick up the extra minutes. Acquiring picks back instead of immediate impact players will better serve us in letting our own picks be worse along with being able to use these other picks to either pick out players we want or use them to trade up or use later in trades. I don't think it would be in the best interest to acquire players specifically for the purpose of replacing scoring for this year unless it just happens to be in a deal such as the Batum one mentioned.

Thank you, I was going to make a similar point...but I was too lazy to look anything up haha.

I agree with everything else you said. But, I think the above statement is only true for the time he was here after his Brother died. He was never the same after that. That first year when Larry got here he did put forth effort. He did what was asked of him. He even tried to play in the playoffs when he was injured. But, his injuries were too much for him to really play effectively. Eventually, he had to be shut down.

TBH I did forgot about his brother dying but I would say the effort he put forth was more for individual acclaim than overall team success.....I could have come to that conclusion due to his really low basketball IQ making it seem like lack of effort/adaption but I will give him props for trying to play through an injury
