Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Idk if it's because I'm on my phone or if the writer let some information out he shouldn't of but the page does not exists for me. Anybody else have this problem?

It's up for me.

Here is the part about the Cavs and Sessions:

That someone could be Ramon Sessions ($4.2 million/$4.5 million). The Lakers are doing some fast talking to the Cavaliers, who are swamped by calls, as are the Kings. Sacramento leads the league in cap room, $9.4 million, whereas Cleveland has $7.1 million. Teams want them to take contracts for draft picks so they can maneuver.

Could the Lakers do something like we did for Z. Like send us Ebanks/Artest + Pick for Sessions (whoever it takes to get the money to work out for a legal trade...just an example). Then we buy Artest out and release him, he goes back to Lakers. I don't know how more complicated trades like that work, or if the new agreement put an end to the loophole.

I know they got rid of that loophole. I believe they changed the rule so that the Lakers could not sign him until a year after the trade. Is that correct?

if we took back a Artest they better be willing to give up two picks instead of one then.

They don't want Artest back what are yall smoking .. if we trade for him he will get bought out and sent to retirement.

Here you go Silky...

Vescey: Cavs “Swamped by Calls” Heading in to NBA Trade Deadline
February 28, 2012 By Scott 0 Comments
In his lastest column for the New York Post, Peter Vescey states that the Cleveland Cavaliers once again find themselves in the middle of several trade discussions. While Orlando’s Dwight Howard remains the most-coveted pending free agent, it sounds like Cleveland’s Ramon Sessions is the Plan B for several teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers who are reportedly doing “some fast talking.”
Certainly, salary cap space is playing to Cleveland’s advantage.
Having $7.1 million in cap space, Vescey states that Chris Grant and his staff are receiving plenty of teams looking to move draft picks if the Cavaliers, who are “swamped by calls,” are willing to take on an additional contract or two. Within the last 24 hours, reports surfaced surrounding the Atlanta Hawks looking to move Marvin Williams’ $7 million dollar contract.
While Houston’s Kyle Lowry or Denver’s Raymond Felton are also on Los Angeles’ radar, the cap space posessed by Cleveland make any discussed trades that much easier to complete. It is expected that all trades the Cavaliers make will either involve additional financial freedom or additional draft selections, preferably in the first round.
The 2012 NBA trade deadline is March 15.

Yet more rumors...

The NBA trade deadline is rapidly approaching and the rumor mill is starting to crank up. Currently it is hard to get a feel for what the Hawks might do at the deadline but one such scenario that they would likely consider is if it reduced payroll for next season. The Hawks struggles with the luxury tax line have been well documented and that will continue to be the case into next season as well.

One such rumor making the rounds has the Hawks involved in a deal centered around Ramon Sessions and Marvin Williams. However, it is unlikely that the Hawks would be willing to simply just take back another point guard given the depth at that position even though they have reportedly kicked the tires on Sessions before. The trade could be expanded to include the expiring contract of say Antawn Jamison and Kirk Hinrich then perhaps it makes more sense. Cleveland would probably ask for a first-round pick as part of the incentive for picking up the rest of Williams' contract. Now a word of caution about my fictitious trade. It would have the Hawks taking on by my math a little less than $4 million more this season which could be a stretch.

Now I have no idea if this deal or any deal involving the Hawks will happen but I think this is the type of trade that Rick Sund will be looking for...

That's not a bad deal in my opinon if we can ship off Sessions and Jamison and manage to get Marvin Williams and a first in return.

Since ATL is currently in need of a C, I wonder if we could get a third team involved. Maybe something like:

Cavs send: Sessions, Jamison, NOH 2012 2nd
Cavs get: Williams, Heinrich, ATL 2012 1st

ATL sends: Williams, Heinrich, 2012 1st
ATL gets: Sessions, Kaman

NOH sends: Kaman
NOH gets: Jamison, 2012 2nd

Not sure if we'd have to include our 2012 2nd or possibly the SAC 2012 pick as well to give give NOH a little more incentive to facilitate this deal. Probably so, but I'd do it if it meant we got ATL's pick and still got some expiring money in Heinrich. I guess it'd depend on ATL's willingness to take on a little extra money this season to clear more in the offseason and on what other offers NOH gets for Kaman.

I don't know why people value the SAC pick so little. That pick could potentially by the number one overall pick. Ok, so that's a stretch, but that is a possibility in the future. It, however, could easily be a high lottery pick in the future, and it almost certainly will be better than the Hawks 2012 pick. There's no way that SAC's going to make that big of a jump. I'd really like to keep our pick and possibly do that trade as is. We'd really only be adding Williams' contract to our salaries compared to what would happen if both Jamison and Sessions walked at the end of the season.

It can't be the number 1 overall by definition. The best it can possibly be is 11 a few years from now. Its basically top ten protected till 2017 where it becomes a 2nd round pick if its in the top 10 again. The details are in the draft pick sticky in 'cavs talk'.

I don't think a lot of site are factoring amnestied players. If they were Pacers would be number 1, with 14 mil in space.
As far as the Kings and our cap space is concerned, we will buy if the player/pick is right. Gilbert has even be known to spend if the right deal came along.
The kings however, are still in cost cutting mode. They got their arena, but are still hurting for money. I don't see them taking on any more salary, unless it is an outrageous deal.
