Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions

So if I were the Clippers GM, I would seriously consider giving up Mo Williams for Metta and LA's first. So why would Sessions be worth that?

Really? Mo is killing for them off the bench right now. He's also there to back up Paul and Billups. He's an expensive bench player, but probably worth more to them than MWP and a late 1st round pick.

How do draft picks count towards salary matching in trades?

Because the Lakers are obviously a tax paying team and can only take 125% +$100,000 of salary that we're trading to them. Sessions makes $4,257,973, so the Lakers would have to trade at least $3,406,378 + $100,000 in salary/value away.

LA has a large trade exception they got in the Lamar Odum trade so he will be plugged into that, leaving the Cavs free to take back just picks and no salary

Before the season I figured the Cavs might only be able to get a high 2nd for Sessions. If you can get a Lakers #1 this year for him than do the deal. That's very good value and you don't need to try to be too greedy.

One young player on the Lakers that kind of intrigues me is Darius Morris but I'd be more than fine with the #1 pick.

It's VERY possible that BOTH Kobe and Bynum could go out with injuries. Kobe is old, and Bynum is Mr. Glass.

If that's the case, a #1 from the Lakers could be golden.
