Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: *Lakers Update pg. 4* Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions

I know that fantasy basketball articles aren't real articles, but I did like reading this quote:

The Lakers may be in the market for Ramon Sessions and, although no trade is imminent, he'd immediately and easily be the best point guard on the team.

When you start reading established national writers say things like that, it's usually a good sign.

Re: *Lakers Update pg. 4* Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions

It's VERY possible that BOTH Kobe and Bynum could go out with injuries. Kobe is old, and Bynum is Mr. Glass.

If that's the case, a #1 from the Lakers could be golden.

I would laugh so hard if this ended up happening and we won the lottery with the Lakers' pick. :chuckles:

lmao

Re: *Lakers Update pg. 4* Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions

These picks would definitely have some protection, probably full lotto.

Reagan was governor of California. Hopefully this is a hint. Anyways, an asset we can get for Sessions is a positive going forward especially for Irvings development.

Re: *Lakers Update pg. 4* Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions

I just read some Lakers' fans comments on the Yahoo article, and it's fucking hilarious how much they overrate Sessions. Multiple people wrote that Sessions is due to "blowup" and that Cleveland has been holding him back.

PLEASE let this be the thought process of the Lakers' FO!!!!!!

Buy low, sell high!!! We need to call the Knicks and let the free market do its work!!! ...bidding war anyone?

Why would a perennial playoff team, even one that is one injury away from not being one, protect a pick? Sure shows a lot of confidence in the team.

Not totally the same situations since the Lakers would have to be hit by a major injury bug but they just saw the team across the from them at the Staple Center send a #1 unprotected pick to the Cavs last year, no reason to take the chance that something like that go down no matter how little of a chance that there is of it happening. Its not a matter of confidence it just hedging your bets if a freak incident occurred.

I think Max was just trying to tell gee-go to stick a dead president's thumb up his ass. Nothing cryptic...

Playing it smart is why teams like that are perennial playoff teams...

Re: *Lakers Update pg. 4* Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions

Count me on board the group wanting both their 1st rounders for Sessions and our 2nd rounder(s). Would be a glorious trade.

Re: *Lakers Update pg. 4* Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions

San Antonio, Memphis, and Minnesota are all capable of nudging the Lakers out of the 8th seed. It's neck and neck.

Re: *Lakers Update pg. 4* Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions

They don't need to protect the pick. They will not protect the pick. They are going to make the playoffs. They will not protect the pick. They are going to give us only one pick. They will not protect the pick.

Any questions?

Sessions is on Jigo's RCF Fantasy Team. IF he gets traded to Lakers it will be good for Jigo's fantasy team. That's all I meant by the thumbs up to my cyberbuddy Jigo. The End.

Re: *Lakers Update pg. 4* Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions

Apparently we are up against the Raptors and them being willing to part with Calderon:

The Los Angeles Lakers have had discussions with the Cleveland Cavaliers regarding a potential trade for guard Ramon Sessions, Yahoo! Sports is reporting.

While no deal is imminent, according to the report, the Lakers' backcourt clearly could use some help. The Lakers worked out veteran NBA guard Morris Peterson recently, Yahoo! reports, are understood to be considering signing Gilbert Arenas, and, according to Hoopsworld, would be a good fit for Jose Calderon, who the Raptors would like to trade.

Yahoo! reports that several teams beyond the Lakers are interested in Sessions, who has seen his minutes and offensive production decline this season largely due to the presence of point guard Kyrie Irving, the top pick in last year’s draft.
