Im Barack Obama and I approve that message.

:chuckles:, thanks Mac. Don't take my post to mean that I like everything this guy proposed, because I don't. I certainly don't believe that higher taxes on the wealthy can cure all of our problems. I also think windall profit taxes on oil companies is just plain stupid. Everyone is susceptible their fair dose of economic populism (ehem...John McCain and his gas tax holiday..). Also, his healthcare plan is not without flaws. If anything it's just going to cover a bunch of people, but whether or not it's sutainable...that's another question.

You can tell, I don't like the status quo...that's just how I am.

I'm just glad there is finally someone who is thinking big.

The health plan has to pass through congress, it's not like he's just going to install it.

Thanks for the reminder, but I already understand that just about anything has to pass through congress in order for it to be implemented. I just don't think congress is going to magically "make the plan sustainable." Don't forget the power of lobbyists. Especially insurance lobbyists.

Barrack Obama is not getting my vote thats for sure, why should i vote for someone who has been going to a church that has preached genocide on white people for 20 years. He is looking to spend our tax money to built a basketball court in the white house, why he would do that i dont get it, and acctualy bush and the republicans have been doing a good job, i hate how people are bitchin about the war in iraq, i mean obvisously he bush has been doing something rigth, since we have not had a attack on american soil since 9/11 and you know the terrorist are trying. I might vote but really its not up to the people its up to the electoral college so why bother, Barrack Obama is a :thumbdown in my book

And the last attack on American soil was Pearl Harbor before 9/11, so all the presidents in between there were doing good? There should never be an attack on our soil and the sad part is Bush knew it was going to happen or that there were plans of it. Pearl Harbor sort of came out of no where...

If you think Bush is doing good, you are obviously a moron.

If the analysts are right at Bloomberg ( all they care about is money), if Obama does away with the tax breaks as he has suggested. Every dollar made over 200k the goverment will get 40 cents. I defenitly have issues with that.

EFF that, OBAMA I say nay, and he is going to use some of that money to pretty up the white house.

are you kidding me, in 1994 or 95 when bill clinton was president, terrorists tried to blow up the trade center with car bombs, and you just think bush knew this was going to happen just because some idiot like Michael Moore said so, wow

Barack Obama already's got White House remodeling plans: the bowling alley is gone

INDIANAPOLIS -- He hasn't yet won the Democratic nomination for president, let alone the November general election. But already Illinois Sen. Barack Obama says he has some renovation plans for the White House.

"I have sworn that we're taking out the bowling alley in the White House and we're putting in a basketball court," he said, according to a pool press report of his visit this afternoon to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in New Castle, Ind., today.

OK fair enough, but you have yet to say McCain's actions with his Rev. You are trying to make this a one street, when it goes two ways.

Bush spending 9% on interest is what really I'm mad about. It is like this: Government- "here banks/other countries". The Iraq war, I would be fine with if he wasn't borrowing to fund it and if he never lied to the people of America. Bush is fiscally irresponsible.

Fact remains, nobody is pissed about being in Afganastan, where are the WMD's? Why did we go into Iraq even? We got rid of a ruthless dictator, only to create instability in the region.

Seems to me like other countries are able to be fiscally responsible or at least projected to be.

Wish my vote counts. I cant fathom anyone voting for McCain as an objective outsider looking in.

Being prior military, I don't care if you vote or not, but if you do not vote you have Zero rights to bitch about anything.

Talk about lame reasoning. So what you're saying is, unless I exercise my right to vote I'm not allowed to exercise my right to free speech? And tell me, just where is THAT found in the U.S. Constitution? <shakes head>

Somebody needs to go back to middle school social studies class and pay attention this time.
