I'm voting Obama. After McCain's choice for VP, and after hearing her speak, it's become clear to me that she has zero ability to run the country. It's not about her pregnant daughter, because that has nothing to do with her ability to run a country, but my gawd were there many flaws/lies in her speech. I don't know why McCain picked her, as I'm sure there were other females who were more qualified.

All these republicans, like James :puke: believe that the economy is alright. These are those born well off, and they have no reality of middle class life. They are all out of touch. And the fact that McCain agreed with Bush 90% of the time says that he's pretty much the same as Bush.

Unemployment is up 6% in August... That's a five year all time high.
What does that say about the economy?

I rather have someone in there who has other ideas, because at the rate we're going to be in the shitter if McCain is elected. I seriously have major issues with Palin, she's just a huge no no! And apparently after her speech, 130,000 people felt compelled to donate to the Obama campaign. He made 8million in 24 hours, which is insane.

I also didn't like the passing around of her son with down syndrome, like we should all be in Awe. She is using that as leverage, which I think is a bit of desperation on the part of the advisors. This isn't about the kids, it's about the ability to get us out of the mess that Bush got us in.

Talk about lame reasoning. So what you're saying is, unless I exercise my right to vote I'm not allowed to exercise my right to free speech? And tell me, just where is THAT found in the U.S. Constitution? <shakes head>

Somebody needs to go back to middle school social studies class and pay attention this time.

If you do not participate in the process (voting) IN MY OPINION, not the constitutions you have zero room to complain nor does what you think really matter to me.

Totally agree Ron, hopefully the presidential race will be fair open and without controversy, that way America can start to rebuild its international image.

p.s.s. find me somebody worth voting for and I'd change my mind. Til somebody has the nuts to say Iraq is a waste of time and focuses our resources to American issues, the economy and tax relief to big corporations so we can actually have a strong labor force, funding money to our shit ass educational system, and stop the rich from getting richer and the middle class being stuck in the backside and I might care. Til then, being middle class, the government and those that run it have no interest in you.

If the Republicans and Democrats aren't worth your vote check out Ron Paul. His Policy positions and voting record is real solid. He's against the "Patriot" Act, invading Iraq, high taxes, big government, having soldiers stationed all around the world, and a host of other issues that I, personally, am also against. Theres a bunch of youtube stuff too. Check out Ron Paul at the Republican debates.

Im voting for Obama, because I think we need an ambitious nerd in office but if I wasn't I would vote for Paul.

1. You think McCain was born well off? I must have missed the part where his military family was raking in the dough by being in the military. Technically, he's not even wealthy right now. His wife is the one with all of the money and, due to their prenuptial agreement, he'd be broke if they divorced.

2. That statement (the one from the commercial) was made during Bush's first term, when his approval ratings were at an all time high for any President in history. Most people agreed with Bush 90% of the time.

And by "most" people you mean the 49% of Americans who supported him in 2000. Half this country is delusional.

Obama. I Respect McCain for his Military service. But Obama seems to be in touch with the upper middle class. I saw him on ESPN playing basketball.

I don't think it's that lame and I think you're getting into semantics here. The suggestion is that if you're not going to vote i.e. offer a solution to what you see as a problem, then who the hell are you to complain?

Sort of like...

If you have a head-ache and don't take an aspirin then noone wants to hear you whine when your head continues to hurt.

If you don't like getting wet and you forget to use an umbrella, you're a fool to bitch when your suit gets soaked.

Is your single vote going to change the world? No, not necessarily. But if you have it and still fail to use it, I personally think you lose quite a bit of credibility in a political discussion.
