Quinn Cook?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Sooo, Quinn had 49 and 11 asts last night for the Charge.

Can't the Cavs just give him a chance?
McRae has the D-League record for points in a game and we're giving him a chance...

D-League stats just don't really matter. I liked Cook in College and think there will eventually be a place for him in this league, though. But unless we deal one or more of our backcourt players (Mo, McRae, Shump, Felder) there's no way Cook is going to be on this roster this year.

I can't believe that Mo Williams is STILL taking up a roster spot.

Covering the Charge this season, so my insight....

The games I've been too, he doesn't score at a consistent level yet. His three pointer isn't there yet. He can finish around the rim and that's his game right now. Going to the rim and midrange shots. He is a great rebounder and passer. I do see the Cavs calling him up at some point if they can't trade for a backup. He's ready. He just has some tiny things to work on, in my opinion.

The bottom line here is that our current bench doesn't seem to be working out (except possibly for Liggins) so we should be aggressive about giving other potential prospects a shot. I mean, what do we have to lose? The regular season is our chance to surface a player who might actually be able to give us ten valuable minutes on occasion during the playoffs. If we have given Felder or McRae a good long look and don't see them as that player, we have nothing to lose by exploring another player.

We haven't given either of them much of a look ... at least as far as we as fans can see.

Bump because Cook is getting some burn with the goddamn Warriors with Steph Curry out with a sprained ankle. His three shot and defense look pretty good, I don't believe he looks too comfortable and he seems like more of a combo guard. Still, if he needed three point range, I think he has worked on it.

He had a following on RCF, and it's worth keeping an eye on him.
