Occulus pissed me off so fucking much. Some parts of it were really good but that made the bad parts seem even worse. If I go into a horror movie thinking it is schlock I am able to tolerate it but if I think it looks especially promising I get a sandy vag when it lets me down.

The best recent horror film is probably the Conjuring which has a pretty generic story but is simply well made and has good acting. It is the only one I can recommend to someone who doesn't particularly like horror.

SNOWPIERCER - 6.5 / 10

The concept is cool, the CGI is good and it has Chris Evans and Ed Harris. I feel like this could have been an 8/10 movie if the director had worked harder. Very often does this movie lose focus and feels long and there are too many WTF scenes. Having said that, I have seen way too many crappy movies and this one is a better product. Although wow Chris Evans in this movie ? Bad selection by him. The plot is about a train that is for ever moving and the last remains of humanity are in there with each compartment serving as a holder for people of different class and function. Tired of this life style the lower class people decide to revolt against the upper class people - the rest of the movie is about the revolution.

Hellion, The Lego Movie, and Neighbors were all pretty good movies.

Hellion casts Aaron Paul as the dad of 2 children. I'm not sure there is much of a plot to the movie... there are 2 kids. One kid causes a lot of trouble and has some run ins with the law. Aaron Paul is a drunk (wife died before the story began) so he is a pretty neglectful father. 5/10

Everyone probably knows what The Lego Movie is. I was actually surprised by the ending. I thought it was a very well-written movie and a great idea. 8/10

Neighbors is a movie with Seth Rogan and Zac Efron. Rogan and his wife have a newborn. Efron and his frat buddies move in next door. What ensues next is basically an all-out war between the two houses. Pretty funny movie, mainly because I think Rogan is funny and I was surprised at how many times I was laughing (inside :gheylaf:) at Efron. 6.5/10

I turned off that tragedy (Today's Indians game) to watch The Wolverine via HBOGO.
This was another tragic choice. The entire plot was just so shitty. I really don't know what else to say about his movie, but it was as bad as it could get, right out of the gate.

Who writes this shit? 2/10

Sounds like you don't have much luck picking shows or movies to watch. Maybe we should watch something together, I usually enjoy what I watch.

So I watched Prisoners. People talk about how dark television is these days. All of the best shows are shows where the world basically sucks. None of them really have impacted me in a negative way though.

But I have to say, this damn movie was about as dark of a thing as I want to watch. I pretty much felt like shit after watching it. It was good, but I won't watch it again.

Honestly ... thought the film was kind of dark and gritty, but I must be desensitized or something because it didn't really hit me as hard as it did you guys.

I also didn't think it was that good. Felt way too long.

Non-Stop - Liam Neeson kicks ass on a plane. If ever a movie delivered exactly what you expected it to deliver going in, this is it. I'll give it a 7/10. It's not a good movie, but it is an entertaining movie, and sometimes that's all you're looking for. If you like Liam Neeson kicking asses (and who doesn't?), you'll probably enjoy this cheesy action/suspense flick. Julianne Moore guest stars as some random chick who happens to be sitting next to Liam Neeson.

Wow. Oculus was really good. I guess it's all about expectations. I figured it would suck a dick, being a horror movie and all... alas, I am pleasantly surprised.

Forgot how great Tales From the Crypt used to be. Just watched a couple episodes and remembered what great, campy stuff it was.

Finished watching "Zeitgeist" and "Zeitgeist: Addedum" documentaries last nigh on Neflix. If you're into conspiracy theory ish, I suggest those. I'm all about conspiracy theories. Though I really can't think of one I actually believe, this stuff is just interesting to me. If you know of any other docs I should watch, suggest away bros.

Stitches - 1 / 10

OMG - the amount of gore is just too much to bear .. kinda like Saw except it has corny comedy pieces too. A Clown named stitches goes to a little kids birthday party - his jokes are lame the kids hate him and are mean to him. While the clown is performing a juggling act the kids tie his show lace. The clown falls backwards and lands on knives and dies. The birthday boy is suffering from delusions - however 7 years later the clown comes back for revenge. And the birthday boy is having a birthday party in his house. Can you guess the rest ?
