Oh, and just a quick reminder about trading future picks...
When you trade a future pick, you can disregard where Fleaflicker says that the pick will fall. For example, if I traded my 2018 1st, Fleaflicker will say it is the second overall pick in 2018, same as my first rounder in the start-up. This is not true (unless I finish second to last this year, I guess). The annual rookie draft order will be based on where you finish the previous season, not on the random spot the start-up gave you. Further, rookie drafts will not snake. They will function like the NFL draft. If you finish as the worst team, you'll have the first pick in each round of the rookie draft (barring any traded picks, obviously).
We snake the start-up because that's the most fair way to do it, but after that we'll function more like the NFL and the worst teams will have the best shot at the top draft prospects. The goal, obviously, is to give the bad teams an increased opportunity to improve and make it tougher for the best teams to stay on top long term without savvy management and smart picks/trades.
Finally, don't bother trading future picks past round five. Those picks will not exist. Rookie drafts will only be five rounds. There's just no way to set it up so that Fleaflicker acknowledges that. In the start-up, though, you can trade whatever picks you want.
Also worth noting is that, if you trade away a pick for this year and don't get one back (like say you traded two picks for one to move up), you'll receive a compensatory pick at the end of the draft to ensure you finish with a full roster.
