After his recent unofficial Midwest recruiting trip, Notre Dame and Ohio State have pulled ahead, with the Minnesota still in contention, for Cretin-Derham Hall wide receiver Michael Floyd, the state's most sought-after prospect.
The top-ranked player nationally is quarterback Terrelle Pryor from Jeannette, Pa. The comment line on Pryor says, "The next Vince Young?" Good news, Ohio State fans. The 6-foot-6, 220-pounder lists OSU among his potential schools. The bad news? There are 10 others on the list, including Michigan, Florida and Notre Dame.
Pryor can go where ever he wants, but reports are it's down to OSU and PSU (his home state). Obviously OSU has a clear advantage as far as the state of their football and basketball programs go, but PSU has the geography advantage. Word is he won't decide till February, so the Buckeyes will have to wait this one out.Smooth32 said:He also wants to play basketball in college and is ranked by Rivals.com as the #27 prospect..

OSU is in it, but they have their work cut out for them. I'd have to say the odds are below 50%, if not well below:cavincali said:Whats the word on the receiver from Minnesota?

LSU visit may sway recruit

Decision day is looming for Peachtree Ridge (Ga.) defensive back Derrick Bryant. A commitment could come as early as next weekend. That's when the 6-foot, 185-pound Bryant heads to Baton Rouge to visit the LSU Tigers. "I'll visit LSU on July 20," Bryant said. "That definitely could be a commitment." In the interim, Bryant insists he is focusing on scholarship offers from LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State and Virginia Tech. Peachtree Ridge defensive back Cameron Demps' recent decision to commit to Virginia Tech apparently won't have a major impact on where Bryant plays college football.
They recently picked up Jeff Rapp and I am a mod for my basketball work their.Btw, that link has lots of other updates on OSU's recruits. Bill Kurelic, long considered THE guy for Ohio State recruiting has now joined Bucknuts, making that site the clear leader on the world wide web for all things Buckeye. It's no longer even close.
This is great news. He's a stud (#3 DT in the country according to scout) at a position of serious need. Had scholarship offers from Michigan, ND, Miami Fl, Wisky, Iowa, WVU, Illinois, Arizona State.Cavsfan89 said:Garrett Goebel committed.

I like how his strengths are Strength, Size, and Speed, things that basically can not be taught, and his weakness is technique, which can absolutely be taught, and is almost expected from a kid who hasn't been playing football very long.

Are you saying they're lying, and that his mechanics are in fact quite good?cavincali said:You know that if a kid has all the tools but lacks technique that he is going to be a stud. Somebody has to come up with a negative attribute for Garrett and it so happened to me mechanics.
