Looks like the Bucks have plugged the final hole on their roster...backup 2/3. Ruben was no doubt brought to town to be the "Lebron" stopper. :chuckles:

The Bucks are getting better by the day. 47-50 wins is definitely within reach.

What's up Danny Ferry?

I hope Milwaukee is okay with having a wife beater and a registered sex offender..

No one player can stop LeBron, they can only hope to slow him down...

So Denver gets another big.

Reggie Evans anyone?

The beauty of the deal is that Ruben has an expiring contract. He's going to try and be on his best behavior while putting up career numbers. I admit that taking on Patterson's character risk is something that many Bucks fans felt that the PR conscious owner Senator Herb Kohl would never do.

The Bucks overall plan this offseason was to increase the team's offensive efficiency as a backdoor way of improving our overall defense (less turnovers, more possessions, higher fg%, less opponent defensive rebounds). Losing Ford and Magloire represented addition by subtraction in this area. Pretty much every player in the Bucks deeep rotation (1-12) has a track record of high TS percentages and overall efficiency.

Ruben gives the team another stellar man to man defender to pair with Charlie Bell and Steve Blake at the point. Blake and Patterson will have instant chemistry since they were teammates in Portland.

Drew Gooden for Brian Skinner S/T? Skinner has an expiring deal and would afford the Cavs the opportunity to re-sign Anderson Varejao who is firmly on the Bucks radar.

How about, no...

Give us Gadzuric (instead of Skinner) or a PG, then we can talk..

Dez > Rube

Nah. Dez bulked up in an attempt to compete with Bobby Simmons and completely lost his game. He was awful last season. Awful.

Ruben is a much better defender than Dez ever was.

Ruben will attack the basket relentlessly and draw contact with phenomenal regularity. Ruben will help the Bucks get into the bonus quickly where guys like Redd, Simmons, Mo, and Blake will clean up from the line.

Oh it's on Cleveland!

Because we have Villa, we don't have to give up one of our pg's or reach for Goods. We can wait until next offseason and make a run at Varejao.

Villa_Bogut_AV_07!!

:chuckles:

Go ahead and think whatever in your Bucks fantasy land... But, Varejao is a Cavalier for life..

I'm not going to try to rain on your parade... I can tell you're overly excited about another insignificant move, again..... I remember you blowing your wad about the Magz move and Simmons move last season..(Which on the surface seemed major) ...And we seen how that turned out..

I mean, you are flipping out over the Steve Blake move... And now Patterson.. That's right, I forgot... You've become "efficient basketball player guy" :chuckles:

I had Patterson on my fantasy towards the end... In fact, he put me over the top for the championship.. But it was only in steals.. Other than that, he was irrelevant..

I look for much of the same.. But.. I'm glad you;re happy.

Looking forward to kicking your Cav booty next season Pip. :)

PG - Williams, Blake
SG - Redd, Bell
SF - Simmons, Patterson, Noel
PF - Villanueva, Skinner, Ilyasova
C - Bogut, Gadzuric

Pretty solid rotation. Seriously upgraded perimeter defense in the backcourt (Blake, Bell, Patterson, Noel). Better defense at pf (Skinner, Villa over Bogut). Better defense at center (More minutes for Gadzuric..no Mag turnovers, Bogut playing natural position).

Can we throw the balls out now?
