Ridnour not interesed in extension

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
since he said this early mybe we can trade for him before the season starts. that way he has time to work with lebron and everyone before season starts.

jones+luke+cash. or whatever.

lets get a point guard who can't play defense AT ALL.

I'm sure it would be fun watching him getting pushed around in the playoffs.

We don't have any money until 2019 or any tradeable assests thanks to Mr. Ferry and Mr. Paxson and their astute business decisions...

eric snow will still be are def player. luke is young and can still learn def. he also passes very very well. scores good to.

What did Ferry do wrong?

Z for 5 years? Strike me dead right now if that wasn't a contract offer stemming from their "good friendship"

Damon Jones.. :thumbdown

Not pursuing Joe Johnson..

Has he signed anyone yet that is not :

A. on the wrong side of 30 ?

or

B. without major health concerns ?

IMO, the team is being built poorly... For example: this years signings are signings that are usually reserved for teams that are right on the cusp of a championship, this team is not on the cusp of a championship..

After going through a brutal stretch with our PG position, he's yet to address this.. It was more than obvious what the problem of this team was last season, and Ferry decided that he would make it the same problem this season..

Banking on rookies, a 36 year old Wesley, a backup center with a bad back, and a healthy Hughes doesn't do it for me...

How were we supposed to get Joe Johnson? It cost the Hawks two draft picks and young talent, we had neither. We never had a chance.

Z got a deal below market value, that was a good deal.

But giving long deals to Marshall and Jones was terrible.

Larry Hughes he basically had no choice, but we coulda kept that money and just spent it next year or whatever...

Marshall and Jones...Shannon Brown has wasted draft pick written all over him...Ferry is no better than Paxson at this point. Nothing he has done has panned out.

Mac lets give Shannon a chance first? I'm not saying he's going to stroll in like GA00 or anything but let's give him a shot..

I at least wanted a push for JJ I mean it didn't even seem like we called his agent or the Suns..

Ridnour positives:

Good playmaker, scorer, shooter, passer

Ridnour negatives:

Weak so he suffers on defense, but still gets steals

Are we really kidding ourselves into thinking that the option are wide open for us?

Concerning other areas, Z's contract is about two years too long (maybe, depends on his decline speed) and Jones is minor blemish really.

As for pursuing Joe Johnson, so what. He seems to be getting overrated because of his FIBA play. He is not Scottie Pippen.

Cynical and overstated...sounds like offseason madness is in full swing.

Man, you guys sound like columbus fans on the rag..

Pre Ferry, no playoffs, post Ferry, six games in the second round.

Lebron extended, Drew and Z deals are far more reasonable than other big man deals (Nene', Martin, Curry, Chandler),

Complain about DJ, he was still the best move for a three pointer, he just did not perform as well as previous years. It was him or Eddie House or Jannero Pargo, both of which were risky. So just shut up..

Marshall on the other hand delivered the goods. His shot went cold and he went to the boards. He was one of our most reliable assets in the playoff run.

Hughes is the big worry, and that is a legit beef, but it was Redd and maybe Allen, we had a real shot at, not Johnson. Of those I think Allen was maybe a better choice if larry can't get healthy, but you guys would be whining about his age. Also you can't forget that bringing Flip was simply GM Magic.

As for any draft pick, give 'em through camp before you call them ugly. Then realize that these guys are not likely to contribute until year three. As for Wesley and Pollard, they are low risk moves in an uncertain market.

Any road hindsight is 20/20.
