Macvan is not NBA material.
He has a soft touch and high IQ but he is not athletic, only 6"9, very soft, and strong NBA PFs would kill him in the post.
He would be a huge defensive liability.
I wouldn't recommend him...

Sounds like you arre describing Kevin Love.

Paid in the crashing ruble? Strong dollar and weak ruble. Makes choice easier for him.

Great point.

All I can find about his contract is that he signed a 3 year deal in 2012 for "over $1M"

Ruble has dropped in half since then. NBA minimum salary is $500k.

Guy wouldn't even lose money making the move.

Bring him over. Sounds like he'll be a good third man off the bench next year.

And, I can't wait for a Star Trek Kahn gif.

Could be a negotiating tactic to get Moscow to pay up for next season...

We're going to be stacked in the frontcourt next season if Love comes back and Andy recovers and we can sign Kaun. I'm just salivating at the thought of bolstering our depth by replacing LeBron's Miami friends (except Jones) with Kaun and a wing player using Haywood's contract. And we'd still have our 1st round draft pick this summer...

It would surely give Griff, Blatt, and LeBron to put together a more Spurs or GS like team where they could rest guys more, spread some minutes around in the regular season, and bolster depth.
