So long, David Griffin

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I like the trade but David Griffin has me a little freaked out. What kind of shape are our assets in after this trade?

His personality has been weird lately too. Before this trade, he was on TV during the Mavs game basically showing his frustration with Dion openly. It was... weird. Then right after that he's on TV yelling at reporters about Blatt.

I just thought these were odd behaviors displayed by a general manager. I'm not sure what to think of it.

lets see, Lebron is on the physical decline and is a 32 minute player. Wiggins could have spelled him being the young chap he is........oh, might as well forget it, Lebron never wanted Wiggins to help him rest. Instead, he wanted LOVEEEEEEEEE!!!!

So what, if it meant Kevin Love and LEBRON JAMES, I would forget Andrew Wiggins in a minute.

There's no sane person on this planet, that would pick an underwhelming, clearly no game-changing player in Wiggins, over LeBron James and Kevin Love.

The fact LeBron might be declining, is even more reason why we should have done this trade. What are we doing, waiting till LeBron can no longer play anymore, to try to win a title?

This was the best move Griffin has made, but it still strikes me as a panic move. For god sake can we just wait until the trade deadline for some of the moves?

After all of Griffins trades this year your always left pondering, did we give up too much? Could we have waited for more value?

I still don't feel comfortable with the guy going forward. He just strikes me as a guy Shaq would call "the master of panic"

Give up Waiters/Bennett for Love, that is a ok deal. That is what Love is really worth. We just got played and Lebron doesn't think things out well.

Why wait till the trading deadline?

We need as much time as possible for these guys to gel and hit stride before the playoffs. Other than Dion, who we replaced two fold, we didn't use up other assets, so we have plenty more ammo for more deals if need be.

In other words, what need was there to wait till the deadline? What other deal for Dion was going to yield us our starting Sg, Dion's replacement as the 6th man SG, and a first round pick?

Waiters/Bennet was never going to get us Love. Never.

By February, it was. They weren't going to get anything better. They weren't going to get Klay. Lebron stomped his foot and Gilbert said: yes sir.

I hate having the best player in the NBA on our team, too.

Waiters and Bennett would have been the most lopsided trade in the history of the NBA for Kevin Love. Two bench players, for an all-star power forward? How dumb do you think other teams are?

They all know these players were flops. Only Cav fans took awhile to figure it out.

This trade could of waited 100 % until the deadline. The main piece we got back is in the middle of injury. What if it turned out to be a serious season ending type of thing would we still make the deal?

The point of waiting until the deadline is to find teams that are desperate. Right now we are coming out as a team desperate to make a blockbuster. Other teams will take advantage of the situation and will try to rob us blind in every deal going forward

We do not know that. We just don't. If they were willing to lessen their stance mid season for Love, that might have made some other deals they wouldn't take in the summer time more appealing to them than Dion and Bennet.

We can't even trade Waiters for some scrubby centers, but he and the flop in Bennett would net Love?

That's not getting something, that's getting some serious shit for your franchise player, and then having to pay these two players more than they're worth to keep them.

I'm not sure if Waiters and Bennett would of been enough for Love but all the assets were sold low. Bennett's value was all time low. A loveless team would of given waiters more touches. Wiggins would of show flashes. The Miami pick would have looked better now with Miami having injury issues.

Waiters as OKC mentioned is untapped talent. He was mishandled here on several levels. For FA to be Love, your not going to get much better and they could have used somebody like Dion.
