Worse grammar than Tornicade, but I think I agree 100%. The "LeBron's glory days are over" thing had me rolling on the floor.

Waiters as OKC mentioned is untapped talent. He was mishandled here on several levels. For FA to be Love, your not going to get much better and they could have used somebody like Dion.

Dion and Bennett are not assets. They do nothing, absolutely NOTHING to seriously help your team going forward. At best, they're nice rotational players, not guys that make a serious dent into your team going forward.

OKC can drink the wine on Waiters all they want, he's not that good. He's a train wreck. It's not exactly like they gave up a lot for him. They got him for a protected first round pick. A good bargain if they lose Jackson, but I think Dion is really going to struggle playing on that team.

Driving and checking this threads is not a good idea lol

Love the deal or hate it, this has been the most turbulent roller-coaster of a basketball season that I can remember.

We're not even half way through, and I can't even count how many 'ups & down' we've had.

The pieces in this deal tell me one of two things: there are no big men available and willing to be moved OR a trade for a big man is on the very near horizon.

As long as Griff didn't pull the trigger on account of public pressure and necessity to make a move. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt that due diligence was done and he and his team have a greater plan that is going to continue to develop in the coming days/weeks.

By February, it was. They weren't going to get anything better. They weren't going to get Klay. Lebron stomped his foot and Gilbert said: yes sir.
Not with the way Waiters played this year.

That is in physical decline. Lebron's glory days physically are over.
Someone please give Lebron this when you see him.

Waiters has the ceiling of being the best 6th Man in the league. In about 5-6 years when he gets his head together. There is a reason talented but dumb players like Dion, Jamal Crawford and JR Smith always end up doing better after bouncing around for a while.

The Cavs don't have the time to wait half a decade for Waiters to grasp the obvious.

Griff must pick up a big man before our next game. Not that Kirk or Amundson were anything but absolutely terrible but now we literally only have Haywood for backup minutes.

I'm good with this deal, and to be honest I was not a HUGE Griffin supporter prior to this. He comes across as very credible when I've heard him speak but I felt his first couple deals were all "over pays" (not all his fault of course with Dan + LBJ dynamic).

This one is a pretty solid move IMO, particularly with that 1st round pick we got. That is an attractive trade asset that he should be able to use for another piece one way or the other.

griffin made us a lot more athletic and taller on the wing while giving us a 1st round pick

all we had to do is dump a locker room cancer who cant shoot

im real good w it

I'd imagine he either has another deal waiting, or he plans to pick up sammy D once he clears waiver or through waivers using the DPE

For JR Smith another locker room cancer who can't shoot :chuckle:
