he will get more open looks than he's used to and much more space


think about this....we have lebron, kyrie and love who can throw decent lobs. we had lebron and tt only who could catch high lobs and finish. now we have 4 players on the roster who are tall and athletic to catch and finish like that

I'm not sure if Waiters and Bennett would of been enough for Love but all the assets were sold low. Bennett's value was all time low. A loveless team would of given waiters more touches. Wiggins would of show flashes. The Miami pick would have looked better now with Miami having injury issues.

I really don't think Bennett's value has improved any this year. He can't crack the starting rotation on a 5 win team.

I'd imagine he either has another deal waiting, or he plans to pick up sammy D once he clears waiver or through waivers using the DPE

Lloyd reported the Cavs used the DPE as part of the trade tonight (for Shumpert). So I don't think the Cavs have the means to claim him during waivers. Maybe afterwards.

Does it work that way? Meaning you can use the unused portions of it? I though it was a dollar amount with a limit but for one player, added via FA or trade?

I believe it becomes requisite cash that can be traded when not used all on the player

DPE only allows the acquisition of one player. Assuming they used it on Shumpert, it's used up. It's not like a TPE.

I would attend the party but sit with a beer in a bit sadness. As in I really wanted him to work out and he always shown fire and will. He is essentially a could be great player who just never got it. Once I get past that... Where are the shots at lets party!

He's simply a beast. Honestly, he was finally pushed to the test to see what kind of moves he can make, and boy, did he deliver.

The Cavs did better than I could have imagine to be honest. I never thought they would get their rim protector, a needed shut down wing defender, while upgrading Dion's role off the bench.

That's just getting it done.

Did I just hear griffin refer to grant (not by name) as an idiot? He was referencing grant when grant said the team was in asset collection mode and then targeted acquisition. Definitely called him an idiot for saying that. Just lost a lot of respect for griff, grant hired him as asst gm, if you don't like him fine but no need to go public like that. Classless
