So long, Kay Felder

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Since we all decided to blast him now he is going to have a good game tonight.

I heard elsewhere that Tavares had a good game but I've seen no mention of it here? I don't get ESPNU so I doubt I'll get to actually watch any of these games unless somebody has a link to them somewhere?

Things need to improve quickly for him (needs to show improvement) or he's going to need to go.

Gilbert has to realize that we don't have a lot of time or roster space for projects. Especially with Kyrie's injury history and Calderon's age.

The guy is super short and will suck on defense. If his offense isn't ready to roll, he's just another dead spot on the roster.

Send him to NY to get the money to work with a Carmelo trade. He is fucking awful. Pretty much single handedly lost the team a 10 point lead by running KayISO out there, like he's LeBron or something.

He was pretty painful to watch down the stretch lol.

Yea 2 games in and if you had to pick 3 guys from the squad to invite to camp, he isn't one.

If he envisions himself as small scoring guard, and not a pure piint guard, then his career is overseas, because he doesn't have the tools to score at a high rate here.

He looked real good when he was setting up guys as a pure point guard. He doesn't know how to finish at all anymore at the rim, he was better last summer league. The iso at the end of the game was hard to watch. When he was just running the offense and being a set up guy, he was at his best and the team was playing well.

I am rooting for Kay... but I observe that he doesn't have a good motor, expecially on defense... it is bad enough the disadvantage on size but withouf grit/motor it makes things much worse... he also needs to be more consistent with his shots... I did expect expect him to struggle and take atleast 3 seasons to figure itout if he ever does, the Cavs might not be the team for him given the win now situation... he'll need more time on the court to help him adjusted to the nba, he's not gonna get it with the Cavs

I've rooted like crazy for Kay, but boy it's not looking great right now.

Not saying that he can't make it in the NBA. Maybe he can.

I just don't think we have time to see if he develops. We need proven talent that can help right now.

You found out really quickly that I Thomas could play. It's pretty evident at this point that he's not a rotational piece worth even developing. It would be one thing if he was a raw athletic wing, but there isn't much use for a backup scoring guard with underwhelming efficiency. The guy needs elite efficiency to cut it and it's not there.

Sadly, Calderon is already the better player in 2017-18. I'm so 'Cleveland' (prospect loving city) that I want to see Kay get spot minutes and contribute, but man, he's just not even decent.

If Lue is going to operate the same as last year then there is no point to have Felder on the roster. He need NBA minutes and practice to make the jump to the NBA level. He needs to go against NBA speed, length, and height. I feel like this year was a lost year for him. He actually looked better in summer league last year. He looks like he is forcing shots because he has no clue what works for him anymore.

I do think his court vision has improved and if Lue can use him as pure point guard for 6-8 minutes a game all season, it will give him the time to develop on court and figure out his shot/finishing. Just tell him to go out there and set up all our shooters for a stretch of 3-4 minutes each half.
