Billups>Westbrook
I couldn't disagree more.
Billups>Westbrook
The Melo situation is a little different then LeBron's. Melo straight up said he doesn't wanna re-sign with Denver.
Is that a joke?
Unless the talking heads are clueless ex-players I can't see how any rational person can make a valid argument that the LBJ and Melo situations have been good for the NBA
I don't like is these elite players wanting to team up to make super teams, it's pathetic and will ruin the NBA for me at least. It's even more disgusting that they can actually dictate these situations and make them happen with realtive ease.
Don't let Westbrook's great season and it is great over shadow what Billups brings to a team in terms of leadership and shooting. Billups is no scrub and he has an entire career to remind you of that.
Ok, two great season against a great career. I just don't like elevating young players over great veterans. I think Billups has deserved the title of a great PG if for nothing more than the clutch bone and his leadership.
Dude Westbrooks numbers have been higher then Billups ever this season in PPG, APG and ties Billups one year of 5 RPG.
I guess players like John Wall can't be considered better then Damon Jones by your thinking.

greatness is not measured statistically
Come on now... use your eyes and brain. Westbrook has a ways to go to even come close to Billups career. He's one of the more clutch players I've seen in big games and that counts for a lot (ahem, Mo Williams).
IMO, if Melo had any thoughts of signing an extension with the Nets, it would have happened by now. He has had the Knicks locked in since last summer, just like LeBron had Miami locked in for over a year. Chris Paul is next bad soap opera on the agenda. Get ready for it.
The owners need to stand up and something about this. Its like the draft doesn't matter in any way, shape or form... players eventually extort their franchise to go exactly where they want for exactly as much money as they want, and party in the fans faces all the way to the bank. If I hear one more talking head owned by ABC tell me this is actually good for basketball because "we are talking about it," I'll learn the rules to hockey. I'm dead serious.

Report: Carmelo Anthony talks signingEmail Print Comments1150 ESPN.com news services
As rumors swirl that Carmelo Anthony is heading to New York or Los Angeles, the Denver Nuggets forward said he's thinking about staying put.
Anthony said he would "take a real hard look" at signing a three-year, $65 million extension with the Nuggets if he isn't dealt by the NBA's Feb. 24 deadline, according to the Denver Post.
Last week, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard that the Knicks and Nuggets were discussing a trade that would involve the Wolves and land Anthony in the Big Apple. Then Tuesday, sources told Broussard that the Lakers and Nuggets had initial talks about a deal that would send Anthony to Los Angeles and Andrew Bynum to Denver.
That trade scenario surprised Anthony.
"I've never heard of that. That was a new one," he said, according to the Denver Post. "It is what it is. Everyday is something different. I guess now is the Lakers."
The Nuggets have had the extension on the table since June. The Knicks and Lakers would presumably want Anthony to sign an extension if they acquire him. Anthony has long said that he would like to play in New York and he owns a house near Los Angeles.
Since Anthony hasn't signed the extension, the Nuggets have explored trade talks instead of letting him walk as a free agent at the end of the season. This is the first time that Anthony has publicly said that he might re-sign with Denver.

The black hole comment can be used for LeBron too. Standing at the top of the key and constantly LeIso.
Not exactly. . . LeBron's a much better passer and when willing he can be terrific running an offense. His efficiency is also off the charts. Melo. . . not so much
