Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser #2

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wait, isn't Origins the first one? I'm about halfway through that one now (yeah, yeah I'm way behind). But overall, I think it's been pretty good. So far it's my least favorite Bioware series, but only because Mass Effect was great, and KOTOR was one of my favorite series of all time.

Which one are people saying sucked though? Inquisition?

Because I rarely, if ever go back and play old video games. I'm not a person with a lot of free time, and any small amount of time I have to dedicate to games these days goes to the numerous new games that I'm really interested in. Still have hardly touched Witcher 3 and it's been out for months.

I think they're saying Inqusition was decent, second one was horrible, and first on was the best. I think?

Yep it's the first one.

Of all the Bioware franchises; I think KOTOR is the best, but that's mostly due to the setting - it is Star Wars. In all other respects, Origins, IMHO, shits KOTOR.

I personally have Origins tied with KOTOR and ahead of ME, but that's just me personally.

Not that Inquisition sucks, but people expected a lot more. They still haven't touched how good Origins was.

Jade Empire, anyone? Never played it but heard it was good.

Inquisition was a decent game in its own right, but it sucks in comparison to Witcher 3, which is a problem since the games launched about six months apart and are both very similar in setting and genre. It's better than Dragon Age II, I guess, or at least launched in a finished state unlike DA2. The second game had a better story, though, it was just incredibly small in scope and definitely should have had at least six more months in development, if not more. You could really tell that EA forced BioWare to meet a deadline that wasn't realistic.

I'd just vote to skip Inquisition now if you haven't already played it. There are so many more exciting games coming out this year that are almost undoubtedly going to be better. Witcher 3 (which is already out, but still relatively new), Mad Max, Phantom Pain, Fallout 4...if you want an open world game, chances are you can pick a better one than Inquisition from that list.

Can't wait for Fallout 4... Holy shit.

The Phantom Pain has been getting some insane reviews too. Obviously reviews aren't everything, especially for big AAA games that put a lot of ad money into the sites that review them, but it's not too often you see games getting 10/10 from major reviewers.

It sucks it's coming out the same day as Mad Max. They both look great, but that's a shit ton of content between them.

The stellar reviews on TPP are legit. Lots of smaller sources, not just IGN/Gamespot, that got to play it for the 30-40 hours at that event, and say it is an absolutely incredible experience. Disappointed to hear the story is lacking though.

Just finished reading "Aftermath", which is supposed to somehow lead into TFA. It was not well written and there were about 20 forced in Easter Eggs. Decent enough story, but skip-able.

Also
The villains for most of the book were some high level imperials (a Moff, a General and a newly promoted Admiral). At the end, the newly promoted Admiral meets with whoever the head Admiral. The head Admiral is enjoying classical music and is painted as a master tactician. He's either Thrawn or very very Thrawn-like
