The middle positions are still the most important positions in baseball. C, P, SS, 2B, CF. We have very good long term players at every spot except CF, but you have to think one of Zimmer, Ramsey, or Naquin pans out in CF.

Lindor at SS, Ramirez at 2B, Kipnis in RF. Makes them a much better defensive club all around. And Lindor's ready - Antonetti all but said so the other day.

If Ramirez continues to hit and do his thing, this is the best option really. Only cavaet would be if Kipnis looks good enough at 2B that he entices another club to want to trade for him. Otherwise, if he is healthy and hitting, his numbers can play in the OF.

For those like me who hope Bauer breaks out in a big way, this new pitch might help him a bit...we caught word over the off season about him studying other players 2-seemers...looks like it worked.
