The Brian Hoyer thread...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Start at QB.

So says the guy who defended the ex-YSU player who gave Jordan Cameron, our last skill player worth a damn before the season, a concussion. Keep trolling, baby, but this is why nobody can trust your takes.

Hoyer is going to look much better with Gordon back, I just hope the line gets their shit together. Any QB would have been tripped by the guards getting blown off the line like that. Holding penalties would have screwed over Manning if they happened drive after drive. Brady can't win with fumbling running backs either.

Manning still won a Super Bowl with a run defense worse than ours. Brady won a super bowl with Kevin Faulk as his #1 running back. When is Hoyer gonna rise above and make his mark?

Calm down Supermod.

I wasn't defending anyone, he got penalized as he should. Don't think it was malicious by any means.

You're going to get injured tripping all over yourself to make excuses for Hoyer today.

He was fucking awful.

"But he was on pace for 300+ yards before halftime..."

Comparing him to Brady and Manning is a stroke of genius, too.

Well, personally, I don't expect him to because he is just not those guys.

I'm saying can he be the guy when the running game is off or when we lose a lineman. He wants to get paid like it.

Just walk me through the great plays by the rest of the offensive playmakers. I got time, baby... and I have yet to play any admin card, I'm just talking football here since I don't live in Ohio. Yes, Ben asked me personally to run this section. Begged me actually... but I'm not playing that card.

Andrew Hawkins catch and runs, Travis Benjamin skying to make an amazing catch on the sideline.

Crowell busting a 35-yard run.

Amazing he can throw 30 incompletions and you can't even bring yourself to knock a fellow Wildcat.

Pretty objective stuff.

Yeah, he is fucking nuts if he thinks he is getting paid like that.

My understanding is that Hoyer wants starter money, not All Pro money. The suggestion otherwise is an angry Irish car bomb delusion.

Hawkins was open and ran the ball well. Benjamin jumped to a normal receiver reach to make a reception. Yes, a few good plays... many knocked out by bad plays elsewhere. If I hated the team, I'd just go back to posting about the Cavaliers. I think there's some talent in this team... but injuries have left guys who were second string last season and a handful of rookies with the responsibility to be stars. They just aren't. Get Gordon back, maybe Cameron eventually and this offense will look much better.

Can't wait for Hoyer to go 15-23 for 226 and 3 TDs and everyone starts saying we need to lock him up for another year immediately.

People are just so damn elastic with this guy. He has a bad game? Dump him. He has a good game? Lock him up for 3 more years. At least Az and Keys are consistent with their stance. :chuckle:

Completing 20 of 50 passes today pretty much gives Hoyer the stranglehold on the lowest completion percentage of any QB with significant time this year, dropping him to 55.6% on the season. By the process of actually playing today he fell behind EJ Manuel (58.0%), Mike Glennon (57.6%), and Geno Smith (56.2%) to stake his claim to last place.

Whoever had the opinion that Hoyer is going to be Hoyer, an average to below average QB dependent on the running game and defense to have any sort of success....

Congrats.

You forgot the midget receivers miscast as outside threats and blocking tight ends from Pioneer Days. Otherwise, we might be reaching our G20 summit moment of world peace...

Yes, in the same way Peter Dinkledge is a phenomenal actor. Great receivers for their size.
