That is not how any championship level athlete or coach thinks. At all. Their goal remains unchanged and this does not "up the pressure" on us one bit. There is only one goal, get to the finals and once there do everything possible to win it. Everything else is just noise for fans to talk about.

Ugh, that hit me right in the feels. They were so confident, and now they're as low as you can get. When Kyrie looked like he got a season ending injury against OKC earlier this year I almost had a heart attack. Can't imagine what they're feeling. This injury isn't good for anyone, not even the Cavs. Now, if we get to the Finals, there's always going to be the "what if Derrick was healthy" question… It's a travesty.

Please. You can't be serious. Nobody will be saying "what if." How fitting that Windhorst actually had a tirade this morning about how championships should never be qualified. You either win them or you don't. Nobody remembers what special circumstances you had.

Agree to disagree. Obviously I won't care too much if we win a championship, but there's going to be people out there (primarily Bulls fans) saying we only won because Rose got injured. Not saying they would have beaten us even if he did play, but it's be cool to know that we beat the Bulls at absolute full strength and truly proved what our team could do to the mac. I don't know, maybe that's just me.
