The Cavs vs Bulls Series

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I see it like a video game. Who wants to play on easy mode? There's no fun in that because you want a challenge. Not saying this won't be tough but to have to go through a healthy Eastern Comference would surely me a lot more challenging. You don't have to agree that's just how I feel.

I see it like this city hasn't seen a professional sports title in fifty years and at this point I couldn't care less if a reanimated Art Modell owned the team as long as it meant they were going to finally end the drought.

I wouldn't necessarily assume it's going to be easy. :chuckle:

Just saying that a lot of championship teams in every sport get a smoother path because of the problems of their challengers. The Celtics 1976 title counts even though they didn't have to face Jim Chones in the ECF. Our 2009 title would have counted even had we avoided the killer matchup w/Orlando. It's part of the game. We've been on the other side of that.

Rant time:

I am sick and tired of looking at Glass Rose as some sort of victim it or terminally ill individual. He tore his meniscus; suck it up and have the surgery to fix it. He could play in a couple weeks if he wasn't a pussy.

I'm tired, and frankly insulted, that people are sending him well wishes and get well soon remarks along the same lines you would send to a person that is diagnosed with cancer.

This guy isn't terminally ill. He has the same issue 100 million Americans have, and no one is praying for us.

Sorry for the rant. I'm sick of hearing about this guy. 100 million dollars and people are praying for him? Really??

I don't see why everyone's getting
so riled up over this. Obviously I'll take any championship we can get but for me the journey is as important as the destination. I always imagined the first Cleveland championship would involve us battling until we achieve our goal not going through a cakewalk until the ECF. You have your feelings I have mine. If you want to rejoice in Rose getting hurt you can, but I just think the experience would be even cooler if every team were fully healthy.

I agree with this. Part of the reason why OSU's title this year was so special. Super hard mode having to play Bama and Oregon on QB #3.

I'd say the previous four years, as well as all of the challenges we had when we started 19-20, count plenty as a "journey."

In the Heat's 2 recent titles, Rose got hurt the 1st year and Westbrook got hurt the 2nd year. Nobody holds that against the Heat. And that Chicago team was way better than this version, record wise at least.

Yeah but money doesn't bring happiness dude. Sure money makes things better but I'm sure it's hard for him to get seriously injured again and again and again after working so hard (months on end of training and rehab) to be there for his team and be there for the city he grew up in. He probably imagined bringing the Bulls a championship in basketball ever since he was a kid. And now there's lots of people out there ripping him acting like it's his fault he can't stay healthy when he's rewlly giving it his all.

See, but in this moment I would imagine someone saying something like "the journey hasn't even begun yet" because of how difficult the road will be ahead. :chuckle:

This talk of any kind of qualifier for us winning a championship this year is ridiculous. You know how we'll prove we deserve a title? By beating the best team in the West. It doesn't matter who we go through in the East. We still have to beat Golden State or OKC or San Antonio or Memphis.

Player health is what it is. If we win, we win, and that's all that matters.

The thing is, he is one of the best players in the league, when healthy. He is not a pussy. Meniscus tears aren't a joke. Especially if it is multiple times on the same one. It could be career threatening injury.

His explosiveness is likely gone after this surgery.

If this was LeBron, you would be thinking differently. We want all of our star players in the league healthy because that is when the NBA is at its best.

Westbrook tore his meniscus and was back in a few weeks lol, and now he's looking better than ever. He's a freak of nature though.

The thing is, he didn't have it on both knees and twice on the same knee.

This sounds like Brandon Roy all over again for Rose....
