I hope so. Losing to the Cats and Bucks will help out our 2nd pick as well since the Clips are only a game or two back of both of them. Hopefully Baron shuts it down and rests that back.

Losing to the MilBucks would be a double bonanza....A MilBuck Win could move the Clip Pick ahead of Bucks, plus helps cement the covented #1 Ping Pong position. Maybe the Night before the Bucks game DG should treat the team to an All Night All You Can Drink bash at one of Milwaukees ritzy pubs. That game against MilBucks is when Baron and Sessions should come down with those pulled abdominal muscles.

QUESTION --- what is more of a surprise... Cavs over Heat? or Browns over Saints ?

The "tiebreaker topic just got covered." If teams end with the same record, the ping pong balls just get averaged between the two spots in questions, so both teams get the same number of balls.

That's true for the lottery, but there still has to be a formula for ties after that. Suppose we end up tied with Minny for 1-2 and each get the same number of lottery combinations. Suppose further two teams from outside 1-3 move up to 1-2 in the lottery. Who gets the third pick? Us or Minnesota?

So that is how they determine who gets the better pick. I just assumed that they would do the same thing for those in the playoffs. (Whoever owns the tie breaker gets the higher # draft pick)

Last night worked out pretty well with the Cavs losing to the Bobcats, the Bucks winning , and the Clippers losing.

Looks like the Clippers won't get worse than the 8th worst record. Just want the Bucks to stay better than them.

The T-Wolves don't have the easiest schedule the rest of the way. Only games that appear they might have a shot are at NJ, home against the Suns or the last day of the season home against the Rockets. If they get 1 more win we should be fine for the worst record (most ping pong balls). Hard to see the Cavs winning 3 more.

Our schedule is very easy to end the year. I wouldn't be surprised if we won 4 or 5 games. Although, I also wouldn't be surprised if we only won 1 or 2. :chuckles:

good catch, but its important to note that didnt actually change the % chance of lottery teams winning the lottery. the teams with the same record still split the chance. instead it was just for placement between those 2 teams if those 2 teams still end up next to each other after the lottery.

for example if the Twolves and cavs tied for worst record, and the cavs won the coin toss, and 1 team jumped over them, the team that won would be first, cavs second, twolves 3rd. but if the twolves won the lottery, and no other teams jumped cleveland then cleveland would pick 2nd.

Note that this is just any remaining balls. So if for a given spot, there were 207 balls to split (Between Golden State and the Wiz), the coin toss simply decided who got 104 balls (Golden State) and who got 103 balls (Wiz). The coin toss only has a single ball at stake, so its importance is being overstated, I'm thinking. If there is a tie for the worst record, we get either 225 or 224 balls.

Minny scares me. They only have 1 winnable game left (@NJ) and could end the season on a 15 game bender if they lose that game. We can probably only afford to win 1 more game and hold onto solo DFL.

We win. Wolves lose in the final seconds. Only one win behind Wolves now. Our schedule couldn't get easier and Minny's couldn't get much tougher. We are not getting the most ping pong balls. There is no way.
