The Daily Dame

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I used to respect lilliard but the shit he is pulling this off season is just wow. He’s literally telling the blazers well thank you but send me to 1 team and doesn’t matter how many scrubs it takes. Dame is going the wrong way about and fans will turn on him as fast they did on fake KD.

When you get towards the end of your career you care less and less about anything other than what’s best for you.

He wants to be in Miami and thinks that’s his best shot at a ring.

He’s willing to spend all of his goodwill to do that.

He gives less than zero f*ck s about what fans or the media say about it and players, coaches and GMs know that’s how it’s done in 2023.

Portland will get more out of Dame in exchange than we got out of both of LeBron’s exits combined.

I mean, one way he could get out is to rip up his contract, so to speak...but of course Miami has no money to sign him, but...

If you're Portland don't you just try to trade him anywhere to anyone who will take him for the best assets regardless of what he wants? Saying that, hard to imagine any team wanting him if he just wants to go to Miami.

I know he didn't come out and directly say it, but the narrative around Mitchell was that he wanted to go to the Knicks. The Knicks were trying to slow play it in order to get him for less, then at least one other team (Cavs) got involved, gave the Jazz an offer that fit what they were looking to accomplish, and the rest is history.

All it takes is for one owner/GM to say fuck it, let's give it a go. Dame's not going to protest and sit out if he winds up in a good basketball situation. Dame might not be his preferred spot and he might not be thrilled initially, but he has too much money on the line and is at a stage in his career where he can't afford to just take a year off out of principle.

Not that I think this would happen, but Indiana seems like one of those teams that could potentially just say 'fuck it' and try to make something happen. They have allegedly been talking about trading for Siakam. They have all their own picks, are deep enough, and have a bunch of young talent Portland would prefer. I'm not sure what that'd look like, but a hypothetical pairing of Dame and Halliburton would be damn near a perfect match. Add in Turn, Brown, and whoever's left at the 4.

I'm sure he'll wind up in Miami, but the longer things go, the bigger the potential some team just decides to make a ballsy move like that and live with the consequences.

Cause (as Rchfld said): “ LeBron is a pussy ass bitch”…

Now those words were harsh…. But the more I peel back this onion the more I’m starting to agree with the sentiment…

I dont remember Lillard was mentioning Miami 3,2 or even a year ago.He saw them playing in the Finals and he realizes he wants to join this Miami bandwagon immediately. If you are not happy with your team why would you sign an extension ?You screwed up your team and feel like you have a power to demand something. These NBA divas are killing this league.

He should have left Portland years ago.

Miami offers Butler, tropical climate, no state income tax and a chance at a ring. Plus Riley and Spo

Portland offers - what? Beavers?

7 titties for the price of 3.

Love bargains…

Thats not about what Miami offers, its about these stars that are acting like babies that never been told “No” in their life. You could go anywhere you want, play your contract out and go.

Which is the biggest problem in all of this. He probably should’ve left Portland years ago, but he didn’t. THEN, he signed an extension. He had his chance to leave and chose the money. Nothing wrong with that, but you can’t really be upset when you do that and a team doesn’t immediately send you to your preferred destination. I’m not sure why it’s bad that the team now wants to take it’s time to make a trade that’s good for the franchise.

This old man is due $216 Meel-yun dollars. He will be scrap-iron in 2 years!
What the Hell is stopping you from making a trade? Be glad that someone takes him off your hands!
