You all know what/who lost us this game? Sadly, Damon Jones...his horrid defense... i saw time after time jamal crawford fly right by him for buckets... Damon and donyell both need to start taking it to the rack and stop jacking 3's.at least damon..maybe he should just stop shooting period. Damons defense is Non existant. i think we need to make a trade. damon is too hit and miss. Lebron needs better perimeter players around him. what do you all think?

I think that perimeter player is Larry Hughes, but moving Damon will be tough. Who wants a non shooting non defensive undersized two guard?

.....who gets booed by his home crowd after every shot.

Doe Damon have enough trade value to get Kevin Ollie back in return? Both currently possess a similar offensive game.

On at least one play where it looked like Damon got burned on defense he clearly was expecting a rotation that didn't come. I do agree he looked bad on defense though - it might help if people stopped booing him before he even does anything. Cheer a guy/team on and they likely play harder. What happened to the crowd we had at the Pistons game that actually supported the team?

to blame this loss on damon is unfair to him, this was entirely a team effort (uneffort?)

did he play well? NO. but who did other than lebron (most of the time)? the team combined to shoot 6-28 from beyond the 3 point line, with lebron going 0-7, marshall 3-11 and damon 1-5

I think in general fans are way to fairweather (damon was/is right about that) and they only look at what the person has done recently not overall. Has damon shot well since he was placed into teh starters role not even close, but he has been a fairly reliable scoring this season. Shooters go through slumps the only way to get out of them is to shoot.

the fans wouldnt boo him if he didnt talk all this mess about him being the best looking guy and the best shooter in the world.

he isnt the best shooter in the world and he has really proven that with his performance over the last 2 weeks. it comes with the territory. he should know this and be a man, not a b#$%^.

i dont know who to blame i mean im even upset at lebron (31 shots) although he did have to do alot on his own but man we need larry back soo bad.....3 home losses Atlanta a Yao-less Houston and now NY....thats pathetic

well at least now he admits he's on a slump... he'd BETTER do something about it now that he knows...

I'd much rather deal for the likes of a PG like a Maurice Williams, or a Mike James, a PG who is very energinic, plays good defense and can hit the 3 when open.

This game was lost because:

A) Z got in foul trouble early.
B) Our guards could not contain their guards.
C) We took 28 shots from behind the arc.

That is not how you win basketball games. This team wins when we get thier big guys in foul trouble by taking it inside early, protecting our own by playing good perimeter defense and effective rotations, and by putting the shots in the hands of those that convert. In this game Gooden should have been a second option to Lebron because NY had no answer for him. But standing outside bombing threes is not going to work.

Heres a stat.

Our record vs the knicks last yr.

1-3

The games we won

1 without Crawford

3 games we lost

Crawford avr 24pt 6ast

Crawford is a Cav killer, What is really sad is that he could have been on our team instead of being traded away. I'm not saying i would like him on the cavs, but i also think it will be better than him killing us.

C) We took 28 shots from behind the arc.

That is for sure.....AND we take to many lazy jumpers. I have noticed a pattern for this team. Come out like gangbusters, move the ball around well, players moving well, get a 10 or 12 point lead, THEN QUIT! Then we settle into holding the ball for 15 seconds and taking half baked jumpers. Is this the PLAYERS or COACH BROWN's game plan? It sure as hell does not work. Until this team learns to play for a WHOLE GAME we will not be ELITE. It is amazing, when we run the offense blindly we look like the best team EVER in the NBA, UNSTOPPABLE. When we stand around and take our time WE SUCK. This always seems to happen after we get a sizable lead. The CAVS need to learn to BURY a team before they take a siesta. How about running the score up 20 points before we take a little break.

Damon Jones is PARTLY to blame. Is he slow or just LAZY? Can't the guy stay in front of ANYONE? I think Z could get around him and drive to the basket. Jones is OBVIOUSLY a Steve Kerr or Wes Person type of 2 guard. He shouldn't be starting. He should just be coming in for short bursts where he nails the coffin lid on teams. His shooting seems to be suffering the more minutes he has. Right now Newble/Luke should be starting OR start Wilks at one and Snow at 2. Wilks has impressed with his minutes. More so than Luke has IMO.

Finally, though I cannot condone booing the home team, you cannot blame the crowd. They see what this team can do, and when they lose because of LAZINESS you cannot help but get PO'd. Those fans paid good money to see the team, money many of them only have ONCE a season. Then the team comes out and plays like ass. If we played HARD and lost, the BOOS would not be there. However the fans are smart enough to know when we are just SUCKING. I am 43 years old and CLEVELAND has not had a CHAMPIONSHIP in ANY sport since WAY before I was born. The C-town fans are impatient and they sure as hell won't put up with lazy play from guys getting MILLIONS! It's BULL**** and we all know it. I see better and harder play in the local high schooll games. In fact the Mike Fratello CAVS were not even in the same league player wise, yet the played F-ING HARD every night, ALL NIGHT. They left it ALL on the floor. How about some of these prima-donnas doing the same.

Why is a Crawford a cav killer? Probably our best defender of quick guards (Snow and he ain't great against the quick ones) ends up guarding Marbury. That leaves the black holes like McInnis and this year Jones on him
