Get Bibby, resign Sasha and AV, Boobie looking good in summer league: not a bad offseason.
Now if we can only find some moron to take Hughes off our hands (maybe next year he'll be our Steve Francis buyout trade bait after he injures whatever body part he hasn't injured in his career)

I guess the AV situation helped prod the Bibby talks along... If Ferry is confident that he can get Varejao back, he's probably more willing to move Gooden. Still, that means the Cavs have to find a no.3 big man, then. I don't know how many of you would feel comfortable with Marshall and Dwayne Jones backing up Varejao and Ilgauskas...

Im really surprised that Ferry would make a move before locking up Varejao. Trading Gooden before re-signing Varejao loses them some leverage on Fegan.
Bibby falls in line with a shooter that doesnt take the ball out James & Hughes' hands but you have to questions whether he is on the downside. He didnt shoot well last year at all and struggled some the year before.
Also, people need to understand that Hughes is what gives value to a nonplaymaker in Gibson and a short SG in Brown. Hughes would help Bibby much in the same way Christie did.

Okay, so basically Bibby goes to Cleveland. Damon Jones and Drew Gooden to Sacremento, Cleveland sends Newble, Wesley and 3 million to the Wizards, Wizards send Etan Thomas and Navarro's rights to the Cavs, Blatche traded to the Kings. Cavs sign Posey and AV, and then sign and trade Sasha to the Warriors for a pair of #2 picks. I think that's what I'm seeing happening.
LeBron plays the 4 a bit more often...

If we're going to trade Gooden, we're going to need somebody out there to help our frontcourt then. We can't afford to be a jumpshooting team. That's the Chicago Bulls and they'll never become a threat till they have a low post player who can be a threat offensively.

Very legit point there JJ..
I am not sold on Bibby, I would love to have him here but as MYoung said, he is in his thirties and he has been on a decline the last two years. Does that have to do with the talent around the Kings that has made him more of #1 instead of a role player? Honestly, I dont know. PGs tend to be able to play into their thirties, but he is a creator and not a distributor. His shot hasnt been that great, but again, that may be because of the pressure of him to do more on the offensive end because of the lack of talent.
What would be out there for us as far as free agents go for big men?
Andray Blatche has been discussed, there are some vets out there like Dale Davis, Dikembe Mutombo, Chris Mihm, Magloire, Melvin Ely..
We could possibly use a trade to get guys that be on the ousts like Haywood from Washington, Nazr Mahommed from Detroit..
There are options out there, Id love to see us take a look at Mutombo to be honest...he would be a great enforcer for this team. It would also let Andy be at the four, which he is better at than the five. He just isnt strong enough to go against the biggers fowards and centers of the league.
