The mystery deal discussed lol (take your wild guesses)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Apparently the Cats and Nets are looking for a 3rd team to deal with, but it wont involve Gerald Wallace. WHich could mean they dont trade him at all now.

i would say you can cut the g-force ideas b/c if we(ferry) really wanted him he would have gotten him since g-force was on the block for so long...i would rather have j-rich btw

Well it won't involve him because the Bobcats just want a big and all of the Nets bigs make pretty low salaries and the Nets wouldn't take back that contract since they have hopes for Bron.

Is this just conjecture, or did you read something along these lines somewhere? Just wondering.

I dunno how likely it is that NYC will make a 3rd trade anytime soon, but Curry is still there earning all that money and he still wont be playing for D'Antoni.

Its stil a possibility that Ferry is workin out a 3-way deal with the Knicks and the Cats. Involving Wallace, maybe David Lee comin to Cleveland, Curry (Charlotte are apparently pretty serious about him) and a draft pick to the Cats and Wally and maybe Varejao to the Kinicks (they must really need another center now and Varejao would fit with D'Antoni).

Again, it would be crazy to see a 3rd major deal involving NYC anytime soon, but todays been a crazy day in the NBA so who knows. Could even be a 3-way deal goin with the Clippers who might be looking to get somethin for Kaman.

From Dan Labbe....

• One name we shouldn't forget about when talking about possible trades is Mike Miller's. He's due $9 million this year and close to $10 million next on a Timberwolves team going nowhere. If the Cavaliers were able to acquire him, they could use him as the two guard in a big lineup or play him at the three or four in a small lineup.

• Did I mention Mike Miller can shoot? He's had one season where he's shot below 40% from three. The last five seasons (including this one) he's shot no worse 46% from the field. I'm not sure where I'd rank him as far as players I want, but he'd be high on the list.

I am telling you, I really think it could happen. I thought it was going to happen last year. I just don't see why Minnesota wants him. By deadline time they should have about 9 wins :chuckles:. They already have McCants and Brewer to develop. And if they trade him and Cardinal/Madsen to us for Wally, they will save a lot of money next year.

Mike Miller doesn't look bad, but... what's the point of trading to get a bigger SG to solve matchup problems when, they aren't a good defender?

I wouldn't mind it if we got Miller and maybe a little something for Wally and taking their bad contract(s). But I don't see how that really "solves" our back court issue.

no way...him and wally are similar players and BW said the other day that we aren't trading wally to get similar talent,we are trading to get someone who puts us over the hump which is BIG..also i rather ferry trade for a low post big who we can depend on downlow

I agree I would rather have a PF, but Mike Miller and Wally have nothing in common anymore. They might be similar players if you take the Wally from 4 years ago, but not anymore.

they are similar. if you give wally the same minutes as mike miller (36) he would probably produce similar stats (except the good percentages)....also both aren't known for their defense and that's not what we need at the sg at the moment

I would have loved to get MM last year before we got Mo. But now that backcourt wouldn't be very good. Also people are complaining about VC well VC is twice the player Miller is.

VC is a much better player but Mike Miller's contract expires in 2010 and is only making 10 mil a year. This would help us a lot now and still leave us cap space in 2010.

With the way the team is playing, waiting until the last week of the trade deadline and possibly swinging a deal for JRich from Charlotte is the best and smartest option as of right now. His contract ends in 2010 also so we kill 2 birds with one stone.

According to ESPN Trade Machine, his contract is 3 years so it would end in 2011. I wish it ended in 2010. Then he truly would be a perfect fit.
