The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread (includes spoilers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

Her making him strip was also taken directly from the books.

People thought Emilia was the rumored actress who refused to do nude scenes during season two, and then she did the bath scene in season three. I don't think it's her. I've read rumors that it was Natalie Dormer. She was pretty pointlessly naked all the time in season two and hasn't done a nude scene since.

It's clearly not Carice van Houten, though, and I think we can all be thankful for that. :chuckles:

I agree it's not dany. The article usually had her picture on it though so people rightfully assumed. I thought it was the woman who played the prostitute Ros, and that's why they killed her off :).

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

Why the fuck do Game of Thrones book readers feel the need to spoil every god damn thing.

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

JUST READ THE FUCKING BOOKS.

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

HOW ABOUT NO. Honestly I have never seen a more douchier book series fan base.

You're in a topic filled primarily with people who have read the books. I think we've done a pretty good job putting spoiler tags up for the bigger stuff happening this season.

However, you need to accept that, when you enter a topic filled with people who have read the source material, occasionally things are going to slip through. I personally think I've done a pretty good job not spoiling anything significant. I'm not going to worry about minor spoilers, such as when I told Damage that Hot Pie's bread likely wasn't a Chekhov's Gun (which I felt should be obvious, since Hot Pie isn't competent enough to do anything other than bake). If you can't handle that, just don't read the topic.

And Pyro's spoiler was pretty shitty. No arguments there.

But seriously...read the fucking books. They're incredible. Significantly better than the show, which is pretty damn good in its own right.

Biggest bunch of trolls on the internet

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

I actually wish there were two GoT threads, one for book readers so they can talk about everything freely and one for the non-book readers. I really want to talk about this show in here but I'm always afraid to open it up because of possible spoilers.

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

Then go make it.

I don't spoil shit for people and what Pyro did was pretty stupid ... but I'm not going to bitch at guys like Jack. I made this thread as a fan of the source material. Feel free to go make a TV show thread.

Not a bad idea. Maybe we should split em off. Hopefully a mod can just rename this to The Official "ASoIaF" Thread

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

I understand that some people put spoilers for tv shows, books, and games on par with rape and murder. I personally have never cared much, in fact before I picked up A Game of Thrones I had about 75% of the main plot points spoiled for me. Can't say I cared that much, can't say it lessened my enjoyment of the series.

But some people view that information as sacred and I understand.

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

No one went out of their way to spoil anything for you. No one texted you a spoiler that you couldn't avoid or shouted it at you on the street. You specifically clicked the "Official Game of Thrones Thread." You know there are book readers in here and you know they discuss things that might be spoilers. So why click the thread? And if you're answer is "because I want a place to discuss the show" then go make the show only thread and stop bitching.

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

Yeah...I really don't understand the wistful posts about a show thread.

Go make it, lol. Do I have to make it for you?

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

The scene with Jon Snow and Danerys Targarian in the upcoming episode is going to be
not shown because I don't think that is how the story goes, however I like to use spoiler tags just to piss people off

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

no time, Jack. Stop spoiling shit. It's retarded.

Well, it's Pyro who's at fault here...
