The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread (includes spoilers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Some fan photos have revealed Arya filming in Croatia, with black and white doors spotted on a set.

Shots of Meryn Trant and Mace Tyrell meeting up with Tycho Nestoris, too. Hinting at filming the "Mercy" chapter from TWOW.

Storylines are moving fast as hell.

Finally finished all of the books. I've been avoiding this thread since I started reading them. Can't wait to look back and read some peoples theories.

So any word on Winds of Winter? Oh, still 3 years away? Got it.

At this point I'd just be happy if we had a date nailed down. Next week or 5 years down the line... give me something to count down.

Type that into google and have a laugh. You'll see about the same 3-4 sites reporting almost daily about a fake release date, that they'll never source and will constantly change.

Yep, believe it or not I noticed that a few days ago lol.

FINALLY! Just finished ADWD. Read last 3 books concurrently. I have a few points;

It really feels like the books are at the bleak point a bit like at the end of empire strikes back. There is so much to do to tie this thing up.

I can't help but get annoyed how there are so many good characters that just get dropped, hopefully they pull a varys and stay important

Any spoilers post in white for the benefit of the other members that haven't read or seen the show.

Come On !!! The title says includes spoilers !

How much more of a warning do people need ?

So looks like this season will have at least one flashback. Looks like they're finally ditching that stupid rule. I have no idea why the rule existed in the first place given how important prophesies are in the fucking books.

We know for a fact we're getting the Maggie the Frog thing this year based on casting, but the showrunners said "flashbacks," so we may be getting others as well.

Too late to get a Tower of Joy flashback. Lame.

Although I guess they don't want to be so blatantly obvious about who Jon's parents are

Yeah, it's definitely not too late. No reason they can't have Bran have that vision or have a ToJ flashback closer to the time the parentage will be revealed.
