The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread (includes spoilers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
But, like, do you honestly think Sansa actually even cared about the answer to that question? I sincerely doubt she did.

In one of the last episodes from the prior season, she's walking around Winterfell with an underling, and specifically discussing the amount of food supplies they have, noting that it isn't enough, and directing that actions be taken to get more. That's before she knows that all those other forces are coming.

So it had been established long before Danaerys arrived that Sansa was directly involved in, and very concerned about, having enough food to feed everyone there.

Maybe she liked making that point for other reasons, but it also was a very legitimate concern of hers, and honestly a very valid point that neither Jon nor Danaerys even attempted to answer.

The whole dragon riding scene seemed a bit fan-servicey but other than that, yeah.
I think it was necessary for jon and the dragons to build a relationship in some shape or form to cement that he is actually a Targaryen.
It might have lasted a bit too long however but i have no complaints.

Because even if there is no answer, there is no other option. THe army stays. The end.

Yeah I agree with the motive. Maybe just a bit too long. I'm just constantly wondering how the hell they are gonna wrap all this up in five more episodes so I'm extra critical.

Usually GoT is really good about this but one problem I always have with TV shows is that there are obvious dialogue solutions to most problems. Obviously there was a ton of stress put on the north (and Sansa) not trusting foreigners (and Dany). I feel like there was a missed opportunity for someone to say "look she amassed this army by freeing all these people from slavery and shit, she's mostly good people" to at least turn the tide.

I certainly have my Bran suspicions as well.

What is with the timing of telling Jon he is the true heir to the throne? This should just throw a wrench in the relationship between him and Dany...

I guess the silver lining with Theon rescuing Yara so early is he is now free to die heroically, not that he deserves it. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

I mean, I don't think wondering how you'll feed an army makes her stupid. These are the types of concerns that would absolutely be raised in the books. What good is having a massive army if they start starving before the Others even get there?

I actually appreciate that someone on this fucking show is actually asking those types of questions.

Did the A-Team care about having enough ammunition? NO! They just blasted away without ever having to reload. The armies and people will have enough food...don't worry.

Or fucking Nymeria. I thought she had become queen of the wolves and was going to bring a wolf army to help kill some walkers.

There is a small part of me that is still holding out hope that Ghost, Nymeria and her crew of wolves will come out of nowhere during a point where it's looking bleak for the Stark's, but I'm mostly expecting to never hear from them again, or just get a quick scene with them that wraps up what happened to them.

I'm wondering for how long Jon will keep it a secret before he actually tells her. There was a bit of forshadowing last season where he was telling everyone else how important it was to be honest, after he'd refused to tell Cersei that he wouldn't fight against her. Seems that line is likely to get thrown back in his face when he hesitates to tell her the truth.

I'm guessing it's going to come to a head when Davos' idea for them to marry is brought forward, and Jon refuses.

Eh. I’d say he deserves that much. Did bad things, but he doesn’t seem to be a bad person at heart and has spent the last three seasons trying to make up. People like Tormund and Sandor who have done just as much bad, if not more, are pretty well liked.
