21st pick, will be the Lakers' (Cavs) draft position.

This is a rerun.

I thought LA's pick was Zeller but I forgot we traded some other picks to get Zeller and we still have LAs 1st. That made me happy.lol

Last year's LA pick was traded up along with two second-rounders for the right to draft Zeller. However, we also have the right to swap our lowest first-rounder with the Lakers' first-rounder. Seeing as the Lakers will almost certainly finish the season with a worse record than the Heat, that means we'll get the Lakers pick and the Lakers (or whoever they traded it to in the Howard deal) will get the Heat pick.

I don't want to trade Andy. I would, however, trade Luke Walton for Drew Gooden and a couple draft picks from Milwaukee (if it were offered).

Man.. I get what you are saying, but Gooden is signed for 2 more years after this one, at nearly 7 million a season. I just dont think we can stand 3 more years of the Drew Gooden Show.

Oh ok. Dang thats STILL good tho. So LA could finish in the bottom 3 of the West and still be forced to draft very high because the Heat will most likely have a worse pick than LA.

I'm still sticking with Stein's rankings. I'm posting now because it looks like the Cavs rankings would have to go down with the way this Detroit game is going.

Cavs at 6 & 36. Lakers @ 19. Orlando @ 41. Kings making the Cavs look good.

I think these rankings of Stein's are silly. What's more accurate than the actual rankings? I don't know about everyone else, and it's up to you, Douglar, since it's your graph, but I'd prefer that the real rankings be used now. Just my 2 cents.

This is worrisome, love the Lakers are sucking but we can't have them be so bad they drop out of the playoffs entirely. Right now walking a tightrope with them: they are a game out of the playoffs and the West is filled with solid teams in that lower playoff range

No way the Lakers with Kobe, Dwight and a healthy Steve Nash miss the playoffs. However, there is a chance they are a low seed which would be great for us.

This is great with how they're losing. They will make the playoffs. There's a good chance that they'll click and get a lot of wins. We need to take these losses whenever they come so that we can hopefully see this pick in the teens. If we do see it in the teens, then it will be a miracle. If anyone were to have told us that the pick would be in the teens given the team they have, we'd laugh. But it's looking like it could at least be possible now.

As much as I'm enjoying the Lakers current woes, it's still hard to see them not finishing in the Top-8. But every loss helps, and they are already running 6 losses behind the Heat. Whatever happens, it was still a great move by Grant to get this extra chance at moving up.

Do you think NBA will not push the refs to get the 2nd largest market and historic iconic team in the playoffs? It's about the $$$$.
