Trade Deadline ––> Waiver/Buyout Deadline 2015 (March 1)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Ray Allen - G - Heat

There's a growing belief among NBA executives that Ray Allen will not play in the league this season.
I really hope that is true. Best of both worlds for me. We don't have to waste a spot on him and in the case he would turn out to be really good, nobody else gets him either. @MoFlo have you heard anything new about the Ray situation or do you still believe he will sign with us?

We need a backup big. When Mozgov goes to the bench our defense takes a big hit against teams with a post presence. Mozgov won't be able to play 48 mpg or avoid foul trouble every game. A lot of people didn't understand how valuable Mozgov would be for this team because fans in general underrate centers and rim protectors. Hopefully we can get Dalembert or Larry Sanders (unlikely to get Sanders from what I read though) or at worst case scenario we get Blatche or Perkins.

It won't happen, but if it was up to me I'd release James Jones and sign 2 of the following: Dalembert, Sanders, Perkins, Blatche.

Beasley (to back up LeBron), Robinson, Perkins and Boozer intrigue me the most. Lin, not sure about that.

Out of that list, I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on a young big (Robinson) or Kendrick Perkins/Samuel Dalembert (would prefer Perkins out of the two though).

Backup PG is obviously still a need, but a backup big remains a far greater need imo. There are several players on this team (Irving, LeBron, Delly, Shumpert) that are capable of running the point. If they did end up getting a backup PG, I wouldn't be surprised if they brought back AJ Price since he is already familiar with the team. Nate Wolters would be another decent pickup for that position.

Boozer and Beasley... Fuck. That.

I can stand signing Perkins, who is one of my personal most hated players in the league. I can stand Thomas Robinson, who hasn't been able to figure it out on multiple teams yet.

Beasley is a fucking moron. Boozer is just a piece of shit. Fuck that noise.

Since we are doing wish lists my wish list would be for Will Bynum and Perkins/Robinson. Obviously have to cut someone like Jones.

We've said this about Smith, but I get your point. I'm just saying if we are looking to reduce minutes for LeBron, Beasley would help.
