He moved to Oregon when he was a one year old and lived there until he graduated high school. He went to college at UCLA but other than that he's lived in Minny longer than Cali

Not sure what point you're trying to make here.

He's originally from there and they have won a ton of titles.

Asking why he would want to go to the Lakers when there is an obvious answer doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. That's all I was pointing out.

He was born in California, i.e his family was from there and was in LA for college. The connections make it an obvious fit.

If the Timberwolves decide to trade Love, we have the best package to get him. We could include one of the two: Waiters/Bennett. A first round pick as well. We could also include Zeller.
this is comically undervaluing love

That is just crazy. I don't even think Tristan, Dion, Bennett and 1st rounder would get it done.
and this is likely overvaluing him(unless bennett reverts back to looking like hot garbage until love is traded, which is prob the off-season at the earliest).

barring some surprise team coming out of nowhere with a major offer, it'd most likely be something like 2 of tristan/dion/bennett, 1-2 1sts depending on the players/years of picks involved, and whatever necessary filler.

my best guess would be a draft night trade centered around dion, bennett, and the cavs 2014 1st assuming it is somewhere 10-16ish. then hopefully the cavs use thompson and other stuff to get a rim protector and then they push for lebron with kyrie/love/center.

AAU has killed the NBA...miss theig days where guys went hard against each other and didnt like guys on other teams. Now it is all about how fast you can leave to dip to a big market

It had also killed the fundamentals and the desire to win. I played aau growing that is one place my kids will not be seen participating in.

I know okc wouldn't do it but if I were them id offer serge, lamb, Jackson, and a 1st for love

lakers could offer gasol to put w rubio, their first rounder...i dunno what else?? swaggy p? lol

pau and the pick would b good though

Wonder what it would cost to get Thomas? He would replace Dion as our big sub off of the bench.

I think a package of Dion, Tristan, Bennett, 2014 1st plus whatever else they want would top about anything anyone else can offer.

Previous deals indicate Love is worth roughly 2 picks and a player, or 2 players and a pick. High end: 2 picks 2 players.

Personally I don't see how LA has the resources to pull off a deal unless they get a 3rd team involved. Cavs can pay the price if Minny decides to move him, but I don't think it's likely.

No matter how much you guys want to trash the Lakers, and prop up our team, history is on their side when it comes to resembling a very successful franchise. Perception can sway a lot of people. Kevin Love grew up a Lakers fan, and saw the Lakers win a lot of championships. That image doesn't just vanish overnight. What they have is going to be out the door in few years.

I'm sorry, but sitting here pondering what the Lakers have, then trying to prop us up as a desired landing spot is silly. We're terrible just like they are, so what makes us more glamorous?

We've proven to be the staple of instability, and that's part of why he wants out of Minny. Sorry, you can't sit here and say coming here makes so much more sense than going to LA.

F that I don't wanna be the 3rd team to get Love in LA....If we cant have him nobody cAN

The lakers will easily trade there pick on draft day ( which will be top 3) for him and there's nothing any other team can so about it

I don't think the Lakers can even trade their first rounder this year cause they traded their 2013 and 2015 to PHX as a part of the Nash trade and you can't trade picks in consecutive years.
