Trade Deadline Thread

Yikes, I just find Revere to be the ideal fit at CF for the Tribe and he is being shopped by Philadelphia. If Philly is going to take on Bourn's contract, which would be the only way the Tribe could bring Revere on board, Antoinetti would have to throw in a prized pitching prospect which he has done previously. Maybe I'm way off base here though.

Any chance we can move Lonnie?

He really has no need here. He has a solid stat line in triple A, maybe the Indians can use that to get a better prospect at a different position.

You can't trade a player until one year after their signing day.

Revere is a nice ballplayer and would fit in here, but I don't see the price being that steep. He is basically the same guy the Twins traded a few years ago, and the price then was Vance Worley and Trevor May. Just give something like that, keep the extra prospects and release Bourn.

I still see us moving Raburn and/or Scrabble before the deadline.

My kid sister has a better throwing arm than Ben Revere.

While there is always a chance, I disagree with the bold part currently. If you have noticed he has a solid stat line in AAA, have you also noticed that he has been playing the corner OF spots there as well? He is being called up today, following the Moss trade, to replace Murphy/Moss' role against righties. With us all but out of things, might as well see if he can be of use in the OF.

I see Revere as nothing more than a decent player. Pretty similar to how I saw Bourn before he came to Cleveland.

Raburn I get by why Rzepczynski? Hagadone might be Haga-done and Crockett has been mediocre to bad, coupled with a considerable drop in velocity. I know he has had some struggles but Francona uses two loogies and I'm just not sure a. who they fill both spots with and b. that they get anything other than cash in return anyway. Just my thoughts there.
