Trent Richardson TRADED

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why is the pick a likely bust?

I think you think I mean that the Colts pick will be a bust. I mean that Richardson as a third pick is the bust.

I have a strange trust that this regime will nab a good player with their Colts pick.

If only there were people who called his averageness a year and a half ago... :)

Colts fans are claiming that it is because he has only been there for 3 weeks. I like not being the fanbase that is trying to talk some sense into it before coming to reality for once.

3 weeks from now, it'll be "Well, he's only been here 6 weeks, what do you expect??"

Did you read this board after the trade? It was unpleasant.

I personally received about 3 phone calls within minutes of the trade going down. As soon as I heard it was for a first rounder my reaction was "Damn. Nice."

I like the trade more every week.

Cleveland overreacted insane amounts.

Then next year, it'll be "finally Trent gets a full season in the system."

All three of my roommates ripped the Browns for trading their "superstar rb". All three of them currently say trade rape, trent garbageson is bad.

I feel like I really knew he was trash, but the fact that my non-Cleveland fan friends were like, "Hey Trent is the man!" I felt like I had to take the opportunity as a positive to brag about our player haha. The demon inside me was finally released when I saw that trade.

It's like when you're trying to eat healthy and you keep eating like shit, something in your head goes, "NO! DON'T! NO!" For Richardson, the thing in your head was, "HE IS AVERAGED 3.0 YARDS PER FUCKING CARRY! SHUTUP!"

This is exactly how I feel a lot of Browns fans were. I felt a weight off my shoulders when Trent got traded...I didn't have to go against my instincts and stand up for the kid anymore. I pointed to the rib injury over the offseason, but once Trent came out sucking again I was getting very scared but refused to stop being optimistic. He has the big name and the freakishly muscular frame and the storied college career and was the #3 pick etc etc...none of it meant anything anymore but that's where the "Trent is a beast!" sentiment kept echoing from.

When we traded him I felt relieved. When I heard it was for a 1st round pick I felt guilty. :chuckles:

This Alabama RB thing seems to be an awful lot like the Penn State RB situation a generation ago. You had guys like Blair Thomas (2nd), Kijana Carter (1st), Curtis Enis(4th) all go really high in the draft and break people's hearts. Now that the evaluation of the position has changed, a guy like Ingram doesn't go as highly as he would have, but he's a total bust. Richardson looks to be one as well. Jury is still out on Lacy. Wonder if he fell a bit due to tge twice bit nature of Bama backs.
