Trent Richardson TRADED

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He's going off tonight...busting through that mythical 4.0 ypc mark on MNF

i always thought it was pretty telling that 2 coaching staffs used weeden as the focal point of the offense not richardson.

think about that for a second weeden could very well end up being the better of those 2 picks.

Absolutely no chance. Weeden is horrible. Richardson isn't a HUGE game changer, but he isn't the worst at his position (like Weeden may be)

Trent was the third overall pick and had the expectations that he would eventually rival Adrian Peterson as the best RB in the league. Trent is by far the bigger bust (as of right now)

Man...this kid is so meh.

Another extremely pedestrian rushing total. He dropped that huge screen pass that cost them a chance at a comeback. And on the previous Colts possession he got completely lost in pass protection resulting in a drive halting sack on Luck.

Trade rape.

Also, colts have a 4th and 1 with 4 minutes left and a D that hasn't stopped the chargers all night. And they punt. That is the exact situation you spend a first round pick to get a RB for.

That drop on the screen pass was was absolutely crushing for the Colts.

Someone tried to tell me tonight that he is now entrenched into the offense and is becoming a factor... yeah a factor for tonights loss.

Again - here is the only reason people think he is good:

Trent is definitely the bigger bust than Weeden. Not really even close, no debate. He was taken number 3 overall, was suppose to be one of the top-2 running backs in the league. Game changer, would provide us with a lethal running attack. Did NOTHING!

Everyone knew Weeden sucked, and was a joke at number 22. Only Mike Holmgren thought it was a good pick. He made the decision as if he wanted cinnamon butter instead of syrup to go along with the dozed of pancakes he consumed before getting off his fat ass, and deciding to stick up Cleveland one more time in the first round.

Remember, Kendall Wright was the original pick. They valued him as a second round, for whatever the fuck that is worth.

Richardson is a product of Alabama's offensive line. Missing out on luck by a couple picks really hurt. You know where we'd be right now?

I remember reading that Wright was the last player on their board they valued as a first rounder and he was drafted (20th) before they were up (22nd). The logic then followed that they valued Weeden as a second rounder but had no first round value guys left on their board. So, they went ahead and drafted Weeden with the late first round pick, knowing they were drafting a secound round grade guy.

I remember hearing that they had Weeden ranked 11th overall on their board with Kendall Wright just ahead of him. Perhaps they only had 10 1st rounders but I doubt it.

Right. And that's why Weeden's play is inexcusable. He has two receivers better than anything Luck has with the exception of Reggie Wayne. And Weeden has a very good offensive line.

Weeden is actually in a better than average situation for a second year QB, considering teams that draft QBs in the first round are typically low on talent coming in. And that could certainly be said for the Colts, who Luck make look better just on his own merit.

Weeden is as bad as DA when DA was on his way down, but not yet as bad as DA at his worst.

Richardson is at least an average player.

The same cannot be said for Weeden.
