Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I totally and completely agree. But if Gilbert gives him reason to leave and he does, Gilbert's head is going to be on a stake outside the Q.

If you don't think LeBron has juice you are missing a really important facet of the decision making process in the FO.

The problem with this is that Lebron hasn't said anything. I really believe if James said pay the man. They would right now. I think James has to know that hard financial situation that puts the team in.

I think LBJ, along with the vast majority of the human race, believes that a max contract for TT is nuts.

Looking at our bigs, even if they're not in game shape, makes me see TT's value being the quickest among them. But what he wants is ridiculous. Still I hope they figure it out because you guys are crazy if you don't think we need him. AV has drastically declined on that end.

Did you guys notice that Tristan is apparently a top 60 NBA Rank player? I thought that was funny.

They've done up to 61 and his name hasn't been listed yet so presumably he's in the top 60.

Here's a team by team listing:

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/13723434/team-team

We asked, "Which player will be better in 2015-16?" To decide, voters had to consider both the QUALITY and the QUANTITY of each player's contributions to his team's ability to win games. Over 100 voters weighed in on nearly 30,000 pairs of players.

We'll roll out the results over the next five weeks. If you want to get involved in the discussion or just follow along, #NBArank is the Twitter hashtag to use. You also can follow along @ESPNNBA and on Facebook.

Oh I agree with that premise, no argument at all on LeBron having juice. It's just that he doesn't have that ultimate hammer anymore.
He can sway and pressure by working through fanbase, by what he says or does not say, how he says it, when he says it. He can work internally, telling management what he wants done.
But he can't leave now. That's off the table. He knows it, management knows it, and it's one reason why this thing is dragging on.

Is is dragging on because of TT's delusions of grandeur, Rich Paul's megalomania, and a good show of common sense by the Cavs management.

I'm not surprised. Windhorst is practically an employee of Rich Paul. I wouldn't put it above them to artificially inflate TT's value for Rich Paul. They did the same with Mark Jackson when he was lobbying for Blatt's job.

wouldn't be surprised if Tristan is top 20 knowing that one of Rich Paul's employee is working on the list.

If TT gets a max, will he be the first Nba player to get a max with just 1 play off outing? Just curious.

Not even close.
See Irving, Kyrie.
Or Love, Kevin.

They have Mozgov at 78. Tristan should not be ahead of Timo.

Oh thanks. How about if I throw "never an all star" into the mix or just that as the criteria?

Well, I know Deandre just got the max and he's not an All Star. But he did make 3rd team All-NBA last year, and it's important to note that the West is stacked with frontcourt talent (Davis, Gasol, Griffin, Howard, Aldridge, Cousins, Duncan…).

Besides him, I think everyone who currently has a max contract has played in an ASG.

And let's be honest it is highly unlikely Tristan ever comes close to making one, even in the East. TT is coming pretty close to his ceiling as a player.

How many PF's can rebound effectively and guard the pick and roll and recover and stay with wing player consistently . Draymond Green, TT, Anthony Davis, Serge Ibaka, Taj Gibson, and probably a few more. Tristan in todays NBA is a top 60 player it has nothing to do with Windy working with Paul and his so called connection to Paul if you look at last season Windy was out of the loop with them honestly. Remember his whole Lebron won't sign until TT is done to put pressure on Cavs thing. TT in todays NBA has more value than Mozgov I know we all Love him here but he is 29 headed towards 30 who is a 7'0 Center who averages 9 and 8 for a season and you can't play him in small ball line ups. Yes he protects the rim but he has trouble catching the ball on pick and rolls consistently but he is athletic and what they Cavs need in our system. But league wise his value isn't as high as we may assume. I think most fall to realize Tristan is 24 years old.
