With the cavs in Thompson's court I think that's what is going to happen. You'll see Bynum as trade bait, which is what we talked about this summer.
Varejao moves back to starting center. Thompson moves to back up center. And the cavs trade for a small forward/power forward that can actually play with Bynum as the bait.
Looking at our efficiency numbers Gee, Jack and Bynum are the biggest culprits. They play the least amount of minutes, yet hurt the team the most. Giant RED flag in statistics.
All three guys have value around the league. Most other teams could use a defensive wing, another ball handler, and a giant post presence. Just not here.
With the emergence of Delly, Gee and Jack have both been replaced. There's no reason the guy should be playing 20 minutes a night. He was a steal and fits seemlessly with BOTH Waiters and Irving. He should be playing 40 MINUTES A NIGHT! He also fits well with Miles who's managed to be effective even though he's hit a shooting slump.
When the cavs sure up the stretch 4/3 position and cut the fat this is a play off team. Until then we're still one player away.
