Thankfully, it seems the FO has taken the stance of not caving to TT. In the grand scheme of things, he's not worth anywhere near the money he's asking for. Keep in mind, this guy might average 24 mpg or less this year (depending if AV can play).
TT has arguably the best PF in the game ahead of him and a potential All-Star ahead of him at C, who also happens to be an FA next year as well.
TT is getting stuck in no-mans land as a player. Horrible FT shooter, little to no offensive game, no shooting ability, not really tall enough to play C, and a marginal defender.
I know many people point to TT's ability to switch on the perimeter, but I honestly think it puts the team at a disadvantage. He's not particularly good at recovering, and if memory serves me correct, opposing guards really started attacking him in the playoffs with a good amount of success.
TT and Paul will never get the money they want from the Cavs as long as Love and Moz are around. It might be hard to replace TT's youth, but in reality it's not as impossible to replace his production as some here make it out to be.
