after some reseaching, ive came to the conclusion that we most deffinatly need a upgrade at PF more then sg. if you look back at all the champions you see that they had a dominant big man along with 1 or 2 perimeter players, lets look back shall we
bos: allen, pierce, KG - perimeter, perimeter, big
san: tony, manu, td - permiter, perimeter, big
mia: wade, posey, shaq - perimeter, perimeter, big
det: billups, rip, sheed - perimeter, perimeter, big
san: tony, manu, td - per, per, big
la: kobe, fish, shaq - per, per, big
la: kobe, fish, shaq - per, per, big
la: kobe, fish, shaq - per, per, big
san: tony, td, rob - per, big, big
chi: mj, pip, rodman - per, per, big
chi: mj, pip, rodman - per, per, big
chi: mj, pip, rodman - per, per, big
i can go on and on, but i think you get the point. its nearly impossible to win without a low post player (who demands double teams). you hear me saying how we should go after chris wilcox and i think we should, but thats just a temporary fix, but would work if we get the proper player at sg.
we allready have the 2 perimeter players (mo, lebron), now we just need our big, and bigz doesnt cut it as he plays mostly as a jump shooter...
elton brand would be - perfect.
You needed research to tell you that? I agree we need a better big. A entirely disagree that it could be Chris Wilcox. Chris Wilcox bears a lot of similarities to Drew Gooden. Nice, but not a championship team's best big man.
FYI: Tony Parker was not present on that 1999 Spurs championship team. Perhaps you're thinking of Avery Johnson.
