Several of the espn guys and SI guys have picked us. More than 50% of the writers picked Lebron to win the mvp. Almost everyone has Celtics-cavs east, with about 40% having us going to the finals. The most popular pick to win it all is Lakers, followed by celts to repeat, followed by Cavs...But several are picking us.

Actually, Sasha in the past has done an decent job guarding Kobe, its why i want him back in the starting Lineup, but in reality guarding kobe is like guarding LBJ, no one does it succesfully. I agree the have the advantage at 3 of the 5 starting potions, but if you say fischer is a crafty vet, I say Z is a crafty vet and closer to bynum than fisher is to Mo, infact that could be called a draw at this point. Our bench is much deeper than their bench. They might the best player coming off the bench, but we have a deeper bench. Our bench shoots better and defends better. Gibson and AV anchor a very good bench for us. If start pavs, that would then give us West on the bench too. Hickson is a promising rookie on the becnh, and wally is a former all star who still can shoot, just doesnt have the all around game to get regular minutes. Think about that, before wally came to cleveland he was averaging in double figures as a 6th man, here, we are so deep he has a hard time getting meaningful minutes in our rotation.

I don't think he's thinking when he is posting his replies all of this lateral move stuff is good if we are trading Wally for Wally but at this point anything would be an improvement.

lol...Did you see the game the other night at Boston? We got Mo' Willams, true. But did you notice the result was strangely the same before we got Mo'? And KG and Allen did NOT have strong games. Boston still won because we they are still the better team. Darko is a lesser player than AV so I'm not sure how you think he's going to make that much of a difference. He avg. 5ppg and 4 rebs. Pretty lame for someone his size. Miller and Jackson? We are a little better, but not better enough where it puts us over the top. Miller is not a good defender, he'll get destroyed by the top tier shooting guards. If we got lucky and did get to the finals, I'm sure Kobe(Lakers), or T-mac(would be waiting). And I'll hate to see Mike Miller guarding Kobe or T-Mac. That would not be pretty at all.

It was the first game of the season...

(not to mention LBJ was unimpressive and didn't log major minutes, Boobie and West were off, Brown's substitutions/rotations were horrible, Boston is one of the best home teams in the NBA, and once again...it was the first game of the season...)

You're starting to argue everyone for the sake of arguing. Give it up.

I noticed that too................

Dude we would not beat L.A. in a 7 game series. We have no one to defend Kobe but Lebron. I can assure you that Sasha Pavalovic cannot defend Kobe Bryant, he would eat him alive. We only have one player physically capable of defending kobe and thats Lebron. Your best player defending kobe isn't good because Kobe is a veteran superstar and he is going to get his "superstar calls". On the flipside, they got SEVERAL guys they can throw at Lebron while Kobe stay out of foul trouble and take it easy on the defensive end guarding our scrubs like Wally(of whom you seem to refer to as a "former all-star"...man please, Wally is garbage right now). Bynum is to quick and athletic for "Z". Mike Brown is no match for the likes of Phil Jackson just like he wasn't a match for Poplovich. Our Bench is not better than L.A.'s bench who has Sahsa Vujacic(3 point shooter), Luke Walton(good all-around player), Trevor Ariza(shut down defender), and Odom(star like abilities), and Farmer(good shooter), coming off the bench. We have two player's on our bench that we can lean on and that's AV and Boobie. Wally is GARBAGE, AND SO IS SASHA, and So IS LORZEN WRIGHT. Hickson is a rookie. L.A. would throw Odom, Trizia, and Walton on Lebron, then put Kobe on him in crunch time. Lebron would have to guard Kobe for 48 minutes because Kobe would be able to score at will if we put anyone else on him.

IMO, we are not up there with L.A. They have more talent, deeper, and better Coached. We got aging "core" players on the decline in Z and Wallace. Their only player on the decline is Fisher. Lebron and Kobe is pretty much a wash. To give you an idea of how we stack up against the Lakers, take Kobe off of L.A., and Lebron off of the Cavs and they would destroy us by 50.

We'll we are picked by a lot of people to win the East this year, and I can almost guarantee a win over LAL if we play them. I don't care about their supperior starters we still have the best player in the world who isn't a choke artist like Kobe. And our bench is way better than theirs. Half our bench could start for us.

PS. Boston is the favourite to win the most games, but we are favourites to win the ECF.

Kobe a choke artist? I don't like Kobe myself but I wouldn't say that. Our bench better than the Laker's bench? Please!! AV, Wally, Sasha, Boobie, Wright, IS NOT better than Walton, Vurjivac, farmer, Ariza, and Odom!!!! I mean, I'm on the same side the fence you are, but just because we are Cavs fans doesn't mean we have to be stupid. Unless we make a big trade, we are not beating L.A. in the Finals.

Our bench consists of four guys who on other teams would start and LWright. And actually by the finals if the LAL make it we could have DWest on the bench to. I will give you Odom as better than anyone on our bench but he is a chucker and will sink the second unit, plus he may not even be there. As for LBJ guarding Kobe no Sasha would guard Kobe, and if not Sasha than Kinsey and then LBJ would guard him. It's not like Kobe will even be the main offensive threat for that team this year anyway.

It's obvious you are a LAL homer man it's okay don't pretend like you aren't. We are an elite team because of our main scorer, and this year we have another elite scorer in Mo Williams. Also AV is putting up good numbers and so is Z. We just need to play the LAL to win the championship this year. We would grind Kobe so hard and our bigs would smuther Gasol, and who knows Bynum may be injured.

We win the championship in 6 if we play the LAL and it isn't even close.

Whom on our bench would start for other teams? Some of your comments are just bias. Comments like "odom would sink their 2nd unit" is silly. A guy like Odom playing with the 2nd unit gives their entire bench confidence. You think Sasha can guard Kobe? That's almost an insult to the game of basketball and I don't even like Kobe. I don't like Kobe but I atleast give the man his respect. Kobe not a main offensive threat for them this year? lol Step away from the computer and re-read your own comments. You sound young making just goofy comments like "bynum might be injured", and "our bigs would smuther Gasol"....HUH? What's "smuther"? You making up your own words bruh?

Well I know you are making up words bruh. Smuther Gasol as in BW all in PG's grill. PG is soft and BW would eat him alive. odom will just take fifty shots if he doesn't think anyone else can score (which he is one of those me players). Kobe won't be their main offense it will be balanced. Long gone are the days when KB needs to score fourty points for his team to win. PG, AB will both score at least 15-20 ppg this year and Kobe will get 20-24. He won't need to score a lot because he has other weapons around him. The reason the Cavs would beat them is defence we play it they don't know what it is.

Forgot to tell you who would start. AV would start on most teams, Boobs is a fringe starter (mind you only on about five teams), Pavs will start for us later in the year, LWright not a chance. We still have a very deep bench top three or four in the league man.

The season only started and I don't see why anyone would need to be so negative about the CAVs. The CAVs have like 5 guys left from the team that started last season.

I am in the camp who wouldn't mind seeing Darko in Cleveland. Yes, he's been inconsistent but he has shown that he can block shots and play defense too. I guess you could say that I agree with those who say we could use a longer term solution player at PF/C than a shooting guard right now. I also think the Darko would be more in the CAV's price range too and a decent replacement for 'Z' when he retires. 'Z' and Wallace's bad back situations combined with Varejao's uncertain contract situation make the PF / C position a higher priority IMO.

Well our SG situation will be a problem this year, and you will notice it against teams like LAL, Memphis, and others that have a good SG. PF and C could become our biggest issue not just because of this year abut long term. We might trade BW and who knows if Z will be healthy enough to still play.

That's my reason for bieng hard.

I don't see how one can think our bigs are a greater need when we don't have a SG at all.

after some reseaching, ive came to the conclusion that we most deffinatly need a upgrade at PF more then sg. if you look back at all the champions you see that they had a dominant big man along with 1 or 2 perimeter players, lets look back shall we

bos: allen, pierce, KG - perimeter, perimeter, big
san: tony, manu, td - permiter, perimeter, big
mia: wade, posey, shaq - perimeter, perimeter, big
det: billups, rip, sheed - perimeter, perimeter, big
san: tony, manu, td - per, per, big
la: kobe, fish, shaq - per, per, big
la: kobe, fish, shaq - per, per, big
la: kobe, fish, shaq - per, per, big
san: tony, td, rob - per, big, big
chi: mj, pip, rodman - per, per, big
chi: mj, pip, rodman - per, per, big
chi: mj, pip, rodman - per, per, big

i can go on and on, but i think you get the point. its nearly impossible to win without a low post player (who demands double teams). you hear me saying how we should go after chris wilcox and i think we should, but thats just a temporary fix, but would work if we get the proper player at sg.

we allready have the 2 perimeter players (mo, lebron), now we just need our big, and bigz doesnt cut it as he plays mostly as a jump shooter...

elton brand would be - perfect.

However I don't completely agree with the method I certainly agree with the results of your post liduidfire. I think a strong backcourt could win, but we would just need players who are good enough to do it.

We don't need a PF/C! We already have future hall of famers rights...
