So, what is the closest historical comp for Victor? For the oldheads, how does he compare to someone like Ralph Sampson?

He's a lot like Sampson in build, quickness and defense. Sampson just shot 2 point jumpers. Today, he'd be shooting 3s. We'll see how he does against NBA talent while playing 82 games. That makes a difference.

Sampson was criticized for being too wispy, in the 80s. He was 7 4 220-230. I think he averaged 20-10 over his career.

Sam Bowie was injured and never lived up to his draft pick

Greg Oden was injured and just a flat out bust

Maybe the fortunes can turn and he & Dame can be a nice 1-2 combo for a couple seasons. Rejuvenate a fantastic fan base and franchise all the while keeping that muthafugga out the east…

I want them or the Spurs to get him. I dont want him in the Eastern Conference...

Hope he goes to any team outside of the East, so we don't have to deal with him any more than need be in the future. That said my guess is he goes to Detroit.

Pretty happy for both Victor and the Spurs. Quality franchise gets a quality player who will be able to reach his potential with Pop. What a great fit.
