Wally to Chicago?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Are you nuts heath? Do you really think Gilbert wants to take on Z, Big Ben, Wally, Hughes, and LeBron's contracts? That's an awful lot of payroll. Larry Hughes is not what he used to be guys, but he did contribute to this team. Remember when he played point, how many wins this team improved by. However, at the same time he was injury prone, jacked up way too many shots, and he just wants to have fun. He can't have fun in Cleveland.

Heath, I give you credit for posting this in fantasy land and not the main forum.

So your saying he NEVER contributed?

What a freaking joke.

Well no, clearly I'm not saying that and you should be the first to know. You quoted me correctly...did I say he NEVER contributed? Or did my dispute seem to be more about how much he COULD contribute now?

But then again...the half that you didn't quote me on was claiming that Larry couldn't contribute as much as a homeless man that Heath hypothetically found at a soup kitchen. Which was, you guessed it, a freaking joke.

So you either missed the joke or missed the quote, in spite of the fact that you were the one that quoted me.

I bought tickets to the Nov. 5th game against Chicago...so I could boo Larry and his "winning isn't my top priority" attitude.

If LBJ dunks on him like he did Sheed, I'll find Max and pour his nacho cheese all over my head.

I got the joke.. Wasn't that. However, it made no sense since Hughes DID contribute here..

I bought tickets for that game too.. And you know what I'll be wearing? My Larry Hughes jersey. When he scores, I'll cheer, too. When he misses, I'll cheer too. So either way, I win.. Of course the Cavs have to win for me to get a win-win.. But I think you see where I'm going with this. ;)

I think the Cavs could use a player similar to Larry Hughes. A big, athletic 2 guard, who can play some point (if needed), can D it up and run the flloor would be a perfect fit next to LeBron and Mo.

The problem with trading Wally for Larry Hughes... is the fact that he's Larry Hughes. If you found me a player with all the same skills and abilities but didn't have a bloated contract, a bad attitude and a past with the Cavaliers, I'd consider doing a deal like that.

But there's no way the Cavs have the stomach for taking Hughes back.

How could we use 39% on 8-12 shots a night?

Larry is maybe the worst kind of player to have on a team. He doesn't care about winning the game, but he still wants a starting job, minutes and touches. He says the right things, but never does them. His brand of fun is getting what he wants and not considering anything else. His defense is not all that good, he is injury-proned and he is extremely expensive. He brings more negativity on and off the court than anything else.....Larry Hughes may be the last player I would want on my team.

At least Wally has a conscience when taking shots, cares about winning and has good attitude.

Anybody who actually thinks Larry would come back here and play hard is out of touch with reality. This guy isn't about winning.

but yet we reached the nba finals and had two 50 wins season with him in our line up, honestly as much as i didnt like him when he played for us, i kinda like this idea, we would such a fast team, like the suns, but still be as tough on defense like san antonio or the cavs in the last few years, Mo, Hughes, lebron, ben and z sounds like a pretty damn good line up.

I am just glad that Hughes coming here doesn't hinge on convincing people what a bad idea overall it is to have him on your team.

Cavs are never going to have Larry back, so that is that

I wouldn't be so sure man I am on the phone right now with Ferry and Gilbert on a three way (call you sick bastards) and I think I have convinced him to take back on LH's contract which expires in 2010.

Seriously though you guys honestly don't think that LH would improve this team? Wow you are dreaming if not.
