Why Larry Dolan Needs to Sell the Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If Dan Gilbert Was The Indians Owner Our Team Salary Would atleast be over 100 mill...With An Owner Like Gilb we could sign big names and keep our up and coming young guys...Gilb puts his money where his mouth is...If he was our owner things would be diff regardless of what size market...

There it is!

IIIIII Love Ya Cleveland!

I'll wait patiently until Dan Gilbert signs a major free agent or trades for a useful player in his prime on the team he CURRENTLY owns before I kneel before him.

Hes a baller! Dolan is some old stiff...we need an owner with more moey which gilbert has more money then dolan and our teams salary wouldnt be 78 mill if gilbert owned them! way more

Right, I will tell you this right now, as long as Gilbert owns the Cavs, if he were to own the Indians, the payroll would be the same. You need to be more than a 2 billionaire in order to run two professional franchises.

payroll would be more than 78 mill...

http://www.forbes.com/lists/2011/33/baseball-valuations-11_land.html Thats the 2011 team revenue site for mlb...Our team salary in 2011 was 50.95 mill that means dolans made over 100 mill!!!! so your saying we cant spend more money on free agents?

Look into it a bit deeper. You aren't factoring in operating expenses or the various other costs (draft bonuses, minor league affiliates, etc) that go into running a MLB team. It's not as simple as just looking at revenue and MLB payroll. I'm guessing the Indians break about even.

nope operating costs are 12.1 mill

12.1 mill.

Factual information....Or not....but maybe?

Holy crap even the Indians are more entertaining than this argument.

Amazing first post turns into a nine page trainwreck ... Browns preseason games and Cavs training camp can't start soon enough!

Almost makes you appreciate the people who troll.

They're at least doing it despite actually knowing the restrictions and reality of the game.

This guy doesn't, which I'm praying isn't indicative of the masses....but I'm not hopeful.

Because he doesn't want the RCF audience to be brainwashed by your pipe dreams and MLB2K12 aspirations. You live in a fantasy world, and that's putting it mildly.
