WOIO: Browns will take either Crabs or Sanchez

If we are going with Sanchez at #5 hopefully we get the 49ers pick, take Orakpo or rey rey then if we deal Edwards take Nicks or Britt with that pick. The turn around and swoop up English or Mathews in the 2nd round.

Great..
Terrible defense, but no matter what we're going offense.
Depending on other moves for the Browns, if they make some and get some more higher picks.. We'll see, but this defense needs to improve.
Running the football and getting stops win titles.

If it's one of the two then it's Crabtree and Braylon will be traded IMO.
I have to keep saying this because I just can't handle watching this stupid team starting over with ANOTHER rookie QB without giving the one they already have a chance and/or deal with DA playing a single down out there.

unless of course curry is there in which case they will take curry... they just happen to be saying publicly that they will take the 2 most likely players a team would trade up to get.. im not suspicious at all... a week before the draft

I don't believe this for one second. If they are saying that it would not matter if Curry was there, they will be taking Crabtree or Dirty? LOL. That is why I don't watch "Action News."

Bad decisions in the draft have killed the franchise. I've said it and i'll say it again. Give Brady Quinn one more year if he doesnt work find a QB next draft, the QB's in this draft are not going to be great quarterbacks. It is a very weak class. Second, I dont care if we trade BE dont draft a WR at the #5 pick. Since when does drafting a WR when your in a major re build mode help you any. How did Braylon work out? Start defense and runnning then move to QB, WR, TE,etc.
Heck if they think Chris Beanie Wells will be the best player and for this team. Draft him. Crabtree and Sanchez will get our nowhere. Absolutely nowhere.
Also, if people think were trading Brady for the 11th pick, were not. We dont have a lot of money to work with and paying 2 high picks and 2 2nd rounders would be a mess. O and maybe even throw in more 1,2 round players if we trade BE. I dont where this franchise thinks it going but I have a bad feeling about it.

OF COURSE the Browns are going to be telling people they're going to be taking 1 of the top 2 positions most teams look to take in the draft..
IMO, just trying to drive up the value of the pick by saying they're taking Stafford or Crabtree.. the 2 most sought after guys in the draft

I think it's safe to say we take Sanchez if there is a deal on the table for Quinn. If there is a better deal on the table for Edwards, then I would guess we take Crabtree.
I would love to get both some how.

what in the world is the love affair with sanchez? He has bust written all over him. One of the measures of college QBs doing well in the NFL is 2 or more years experience starting, something sanchez doenst have. On top of that he was on a team that had 3 legitimate RBs to take the pressure off of him, something he will not have on the browns. Finally quinn has one thing above both DA and sanchez HE IS CHEAP. Sanchez at the number 5 spot is going to mean a hell of a cap hit for the browns. Even assuming they end up trading quinn then they have 2 QBs sitting on the team who take up HUGE sums of money.
Overall drafting sanchez just doesnt make sense for this team. There are MANY weaknesses this team has right now including RB, WR, G, LB, and DE that all rank ahead of QB why in the world would this team pass up all of that to draft another QB, it just doesnt make sense.
Edit: Additionally Quinn has two years experience learning an NFL system and at least limited game play, something that would take sanchez at least till the end of this year to learn (meaning another wasted year). So far he has a very limited chance to play, get comfortable, and really adjust to the NFL game. Give quinn a chance.
